Course Curriculum Overview :
Bachelor of dental surgery is a professional course where we deal with the oral hygiene and health. A student should be attentive in studies as he/she has to deal with real patients after in future. Exams are quite difficult but with practice anything is easy .
Internships Opportunities :
In the bachelor of dental surgery there is no company placements but rather than that we get knowledge of handling our own clinics and in our college they all the departments which are available in the bds course for better learning of students. They divide students according to batches and split in to various departments for some time and they later change their departments .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College infrastructure and environment is very good. The college has all the latest technology equipments which are very helpful in dentistry. I came here through govt seat allotment, I had to pay rs95000/- as yearly fees and 32000/- for college fees . For private seat holders they charged around 2.5 lakhs yearly tution fee.We can apply for various scholarship programs that are available in govt website from which we can pay the college fee. Personally I liked the teaching and infrastructure of the college
Campus Life :
They conduct orientation program once their 100 seats are full later they conduct various other types of festivals like freshers party, annual day, traditional day etc . Library has vast collection of books which are very helpful for dental students for both bds and mds. College has latest technology equipments which are very helpful in dentistry. And patients flow is very good. Our classrooms are provided with projectors,smart TV, etc which are necessary for a professional courses. The college authorities also conduct various sports activities every year. College campus is fully ragging free and the seniors are very friendly with their juniors.
Admission :
I had applied to several colleges in all over karnataka but based on my ranking they alloted me to this college.No I didn't get any rejections from any of the colleges I directly alloted to Al badar dental College and took admission here. For taking admission to this college first we should write entrance exam which is NEET in which according to your category cutoffs are given after when the process of councilling starts , after when they allot you to this college you have to pay the first year fees to kea if you are residence of Karnataka through challan later you should come to college and confirm the admission by paying 32000 (their college fees) .
Faculty :
The teaching staff is very good and interactive among the students.there are 4internal exams and one final written exam and separate lab exams .of we fail in either any of the subject we can continue further by writing supplementary exams provided by University.
Night Life :
Students can enjoy night time around the campus there are several gyms around the campus which are highly equipped. And there are several places in Gulbarga to Hangout along with friends like buddh vihar, sharanabasappa temple, khaka bandenawaz masjid , and gangapura is also nearby. Hostel for the boys the gate closing time is 6-7 and for the girls it's 4 I guess. It's completely safe to roam around the place .
