- One of the highlights of my collage is its infrastructure,which includes facilities for various sports,well-maintained courts for students to use.
- Gender ratio-60:40(boys to girls) at my college is approx. 60:40
Dislikes
- Although the infrastructure is generally good, the -first year physics and chemistry labs are not good
- The faculty at my college is mixed in terms of quality.Some professors,particularly in core subjects,are good offering indept knowledge
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am intersted in Ai and MLand DSA< which are core topices in the curricum. These ares align with my career goals and provide a strong foundation for futher academic and profesinal pursuits. While the curriculum covers key concepts ,it laks a focus on real word applications. The curriculum should be more focused on real word application some things like real word projects. The exams are held regularly and last for 3 hours I find them easy.
Internships Opportunities :
Many students intersted in AI and manchine learning ML have found interships that help build practical skills and strengthen their resumes. some comanies offering AL/ML intership to gitam students inclues Tech mahindra,TCS, Accenture , Startups, i dont have idea about the stippend but i heard there are so many interhsips to build resume
Placement Experience :
Our college offers campus placements starting from 6th sem.The highest package is around 15lpa while the avg is 5-6 lpa dependinf on role and comapany.While the placement process is good i have notices that companies are focusing on skills
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
As a student Kcet category,my total fee is approx 1.4 lakhs per year. These amount covers all my expenses including tution fees, registation devlopment and lab fees. Category based fee Details - The fee structure varies significantly for strudents in the mangement quota,where the annual fees range between 3.5 to 4 lakhs the highlights the affordaability of the KCET fee structure in compasion to Management quota fees. The course is quite affordable particularly for Kcet students of 1.4 lakhs per year,it is much more manegeable comapredto the management quots fees
Campus Life :
GITAM Banglore offers a vibrant campus life with several annual and techical festicals.The main cultural event,"Prerana "takes place every Jan or feb showcainf various cultural performance. The library is well equippes with vast collection of books,journals,and digital resources,ensuring accessibilityfor all academic and research. gitam banglore offers twotypes of classroms smart and normal classroom,smart as very good infrastructure
Hostel Facilities :
Gitam hostel rooms are typically equipped with essential facilities like a bed,study table ,chair,wardrobe,and attached bath rooms . The food quality in the hostel is generally good,with efforts to ensure nutritious meals.however,students ofen find the menu repetivtive, which can make meals feel monotonus. The hostel serves a range of Indian dishes,inclinf rices,curries,roti and occasinally speacial items.While the quakity is consisten ,more variety in menu would enchance the dinning expreience . Nearby pg opotion while thre are PGs near campus,most do not meet the same standars as gitam hostel in term of cleanliness and facilities
Admission :
I applied for PES from Pesat but i got ECE there I didnt go because I was intersed in cse. I came to this collage from kcet I got 48k rank but the cutoff was 58k in the year 2023. I was unable to go there because my pesat rank was bad.
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio is 1:17 which is good and more then enough.Teachers are very to good they maintain health relationship with students .Swetha mukerjee maam and spoorthi maam they are very supportive. Parikshith nayaka sir and mohan gowda sir expains good. we have approx 12 subjects per sem they are easy if we study.some student feel diffcult to get passed.The course just teachs us the intro of the topices
Night Life :
the gym facilities at gitam are generally open until around 8:30 pm, providing students with a chance to unwind. The central library, a popular study spot, typically stays open until around 8:30pm, with extended hours during exams periods. Cafeterias on campus close by 8pm, so students often head out to nearby food spots afterward. Hostel curfews vary by campus, with a usual closing time around 9pm to ensure student safety on-campus, students enjoy hanging out in lounges, green spaces, or at the student activity centers.
