- Welcoming Psychology Department, gives importance to the subject of which it is worth.
- Meticulous and hardworking Professors. Although, there are some of the professors that are lazy or do not take much classes, BUT THERE ARE MORE PROFESSORS WHO LOVE TEACHING.
Dislikes
- The cleanliness of the washrooms can be maintained.
- There were certain infrastructure problems that could have been taken care of, such as the benches could be renewed, the fans and the ceiling could be repaired.
Course Curriculum Overview :
PSYCHOLOGY can never be "out-of-relevance". The course is actually very relevant in todays time. I guess eacj andd every one should have the knowledge about the HUMAN PSYCHE in order to function to our full potential. The course is comprehensive and also very doable at the same time as there are not many things to take care of its just exams and practicals that needs to be dealt with.
Internships Opportunities :
There are not much opportunities available. BUT presently there are certain internships provided by the PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT as now its manadatory for the course. The internship going on right now is pretty goosd as they provide it in AIIMS and some old age homes as well.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The initial fees that I paid was somewhere around Rs.13000/- yearly, excluding the Rs. 900/- or Rs. 1500/- that was for the exam registarations and practical. It did increased in my third year that was around Rs. 18000/-. In regard to the fee there is no redemtion in fees, you'll have to pay the complete amount that is showing on your student portal.
Campus Life :
My college life was awsome. Thats partly because of my social-butterfly personlaity and partly because of the welcoming department. The social life in college is average not that great. We have jamming sessions in canteen, fun activities at terrace and foyer. The infrastructure could be worked upon as there are scope of improvemet.
Admission :
The main reason THERE ARE NOT MUCH COLLEGES FOR BOYS TO DO PSYCHOLOGY. There are only few of the collleges who offer psychology go boys aswell. Amongst those few colleges Zakir Husain Delhi College was best suited for me as its near to my location and also comparatively better than the rest (according to me).
Faculty :
There are around 9 to 10 professors in the Psychology Department and around 70 to 75 students in the batch. There are definitely some professors that will go out of their way to gteach, taking extra classes, teaching from real life examples and having presentations and journal reading sessions. But i wont deny the fact that there are certain professors who are simply lazy r=to take the class, who do not mauntain the regularity of the classes leading to which its the students' loss and even not takng internal assessment tasks and then giving random marks. Still, according to me there are more good professors than the lazy ones!
