Course Curriculum Overview :
Bacelor of pharmacy is a very relevant course as pharmacy is a evergrowing sector in our indian society. The subjects included in the course prepare us well for the modern pharmaceutical industry. Lab work and internships bring out the best in the students by preparing them for industrial work and management, as well as improving their researching skills. But the curriculum in the course is outdated and does not cater to the modern technologies in the present world.
Placement Experience :
Placements can vary according to the interewst and level of the industry we want to work in. Local pharmaceutical companies have often came to our college to offer placements. The average package as per company is 8-10 LPA. As for the highest package, it is 10-15 LPA. The percentage of students getting placements is 50%-70%. Personally, my plans after the course is getting into research and diagnosis.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The university fees is 1 lakh/year for bachelor of pharmacy which is decent for a private university. The tution fees for sc/st/obc is deducted from the original like wise. Financial aid is given, along with suitable scholarships. Some of my batchmates pay 80k/year, 70k/year according to their CUET scores. Some pay less due to financial aid. So basically, there are scholarships based on CUET scores, Boards percentage and NEET scores.
Campus Life :
There are a lot of social clubs in our college to keep us occupied in other activities than studying. There are many technical festivals, for eg. TECHNOGAAZ. As for our classrooms, there are computer systems along with a projector. There are sports events too, some take place before winter season.
Hostel Facilities :
I have rented a PG in SFS road mansarovar, which is close to the college. The food is not that good, but edible. The registration for the pg is not complex, just give them the money, and that'll do. The neighbourhood is quite friendly so we have less to no issues here.
Admission :
I didn't apply to other universities as such, because I got admission in this university on the go. And i don't think other universities would have rejected me either as that was a prime time for admissions and govt. universities on the other hand require exams, so I had to go the easier path.
Faculty :
The faculty members of our college are very friendly and are understanding. Personally, my faculty (B.Pharm) is very understanding and are caring. They would not ignore your existence and will give you some attention. Although I have not had any personal experience with other faculty members. For my course, there are total 3 exams per semester, including two mid-term exams, and one main exam.
