Remarks :

Fees structure is the very negative remark They will conduct lot of exams Clearing the internal exams are very difficult We will get study holiday unless and until we get cleared from internal exams The good thing is staffs They have very good canteen

Course Curriculum Overview :

This is somewhat based on their theorythical I have eight semesters Each semester I have six subject along with three practicals In the last semester I have only four subjects and one project My exam grades are based on grade system The paper will go within Anna university We don't know where our papers are going and who is correcting our papers

Placement Experience :

In my college they will give placement training to all the final year students who are interested They will took most talented trainers from all over Tamil Nadu I got selected in Capgemini one of the most and big IT company Now I'm working here I'm feeling proud of my college

College Events :

We always celebrate culturals, annual day, sports day, hostel day, enthusia day, achievers day, talentia, women's Day, department day, symposium day, conference day We all will participate in all the programs We don't even go for the classes All our staffs will enjoy with us

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is expensive By the Anna university norms, they should get only forty thousand But each year they will get around one lakh For each year, 77,500 we need to pay as tuition fee If you are hostler you should pay 20,000 for then you need to pay monthly mess it will vary for each month Then exam fees also there

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I availed first graduate scholarship Every college will provide first graduate scholarship Those who are doing their first graduation in their family They can avail this scholarship I'm the first graduate in my family

Campus Life :

They are really good They are having good volley ball court They have good physical trainers All the labs are fully furnished All the facilities will be available But sometimes device don't work Still maintainence is needed

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel is the best place for every hostler We hold a lot of memories there Hostel rooms are really nice But the food is very bad Warden is very strict There are lot of rules that we need to follow We can't go out If we go without knowing we will get severe punishment

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes they are really helpful They are guided us how to deal with the staffs I'm still in contact with the staffs Now I'm also an alumini, I'm guiding my juniors now They should conduct alumini meet for a year

Faculty :

They are the best Particularly in my department all my faculties are very good They have good knowledge They will teach me upto date things They will encourage me to do extra curricular activities They are the most inspiring

Average college but a good place to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Reality of Veltech

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Best place ever visited. My Sweet College.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
