- I like the sports facilities in the college very much, the hostel is one of the cleanest neat hostels i have seen, campus is beautiful and green
- The library is vast and has a huge collection of books and also has a separate air conditioned room with computers for public use
Dislikes
- The hostel food is very average and can hardly be eaten
- More sports facilities can be made and going to different college fests can be increased
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is vast and extensive yet absolutely captivating and helps us understand the human body. The curriculum prepares us very well for the real world applications via OSPE and OSCE. We are also early on exposed to hospital environment
Internships Opportunities :
Internship in Jss Hospital for one year after 4.5 years of mbbs. Postings in all departments is needed and are very helpful for real life experience. Patient in flow is good at jss hospital and management is well done
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fees: Management seat costs approx ?20L per annum Govt seat costs ?1L per annum NRI seat costs ?40L per annum excluding hostel fees Caution fees, registration fees, development fees, lab fees is an additional ? 1 lakh Scholarships are provided based on NEET UG marks
Campus Life :
Campus life is amazing and lots of sports facilites are provided. Socializing and networking is easy and fun, ppl are interactive and helpful. Many clubs are formed including literature, psychology, sports and culturals
Hostel Facilities :
hostel facility is amazing, washrrooms are cleaned daily thrice and well maintained, rooms are big and spacious and double sharing, triple sharing and single sharing rooms are available. Hostel fees is one lakh per annum including mess food
Admission :
The other colleges i applied to include Bangalore Medical College and Mysore Medical College and I was unable to get into those colleges due to mark cutoff. I chose JSS over KIMS as it has better campus, facilities and research opportunities
Faculty :
the faculties are very nice, experienced and highly helpful. They teach during the lectures very well and also help in research projects. The classrooms also have LED screens to aid the teachers. The faculty helps you grasp the concept very well and pushes you to learn on your own There are 3 internal exams condicted per year and one final university exams. The exams are good level of difficulty and easy to do if you prepare for it well
