- The working hours is pretty long which is from 8 am to 4pm
- Number of holidays are comparitively lesser than other colleges
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is pretty feasible. First and second year would comprise of clinical subjects like anatomy, physiology, pathology, general medicine, pharmacology, microbiology, general surgery, obg/paeds. Third year would be only for core occupational therapy subjects where we deal with role of occupational therapy in different specialities. Final year deals with submission of research project where the student showcase their clinical expertise and knowledge
Internships Opportunities :
Four years after the undergraduation programme, our campus provided 6 months of internship where we can work in different specialities like neurlogy, paediatrics, psychiatry, hand and musculo skeletal rehabilitation
Placement Experience :
Placements are really good in our college. Campus placements starts during the internship period. We have 100% placements here with a maximum annual package around 6 lakhs for the beginners. Many top hospitals, rehabilitation centres and clinics come for placements
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fee for BOT ( Bachelors of Occupational Therapy ) in Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research is 1.25 lakhs per year. The tuition fee is subjective to change as new batches join. Along with it an amount of 3000 is also paid for the student medical insurance. Scholarships are provided for merit scholars who fall under the eligibility criteria where 50% of the tuition fee will be rewarded
Campus Life :
Campus provides various opportunities not just for academics but also is an amazing platform for extracurricular activities like sports, dance, music etc. We have university clubs like english club, tamil club, debate club, medical club where interested students can join and improve their field of interest.
Admission :
This is the first college i applied and i got in fortunately. Ramachandra is known for providing excellent clinical exposure with world class infrastructure and faculty members. University conducts an entrance exam as the first stage, with the cutoff they get, they can apply for the courses
Faculty :
Faculties are really good here. Though the faculty student ratio is lesser, they are knowledgeable and professional. The duration of the course is 4 years and 6 months of internship. We have non semister pattern here where we give our exams once a year
