  • Sports wise there is no development in the university. I was promised full inclusion to sports but so far only the annual sports Fest is the main thing. No university teams for major sports like football.
  • Infrastructure is pretty decent but the space is less. It is just 2 buildings and a small space. It’s not much and there is no grounds or other facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Bachelors in business accounting from Chinmaya Vishwa vidyapeeth is pretty good, in terms of the electives that can be chosen. However we were deprived of that choice. We have a 30-day internship experience to complete as part of the course completion. We could choose our interested area to do the internship in. Along with this we were also expected to complete a dissertation project in our final year which is scored for the course completion. The overall experience was average. It prepares you enough for the world but a MBA is suggested for a better exposure of the field. There are 2 midsemesters and a final exam to be given. The semester lasts about 5 months. The difficulty level is average. The professor aren't great though the course is pretty decent.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are a lot in the college. An internship is mandatory during the last year of our course as we have credits for it as it it is taken as a subject. If students can't find internships themselves the university helps in finding internships for us.

Placement Experience :

From the 5th semester onwards the students are eligible for campus placements. So far I haven't applied for the placements because I'm gonna be pursuing mba right after this degree so I don't really know the details of the placements. All I know is there is training for interviews and soft skills done every Saturday for our placement wanted students. My plan after getting the degree is to do my masters. As quick as possible. Where is the problem. Maybe abroad, maybe in Kerala, maybe in south India.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

My feed is around 42500 to 45000 each semester. When it is 45000, 3500 is for activity fees. Rest tuition fees. I don't have scholarship. My friends who do have scholarship have around 28000 to 35000 as their fees per sem. Other fees we pay are exam fees for each subject we write for. Around 600 per subject.

Campus Life :

There are many annual and technical fests held in the college. Markspire is the management Fest held every year during the October November time. Then there is jabagadash, the arts Fest of the college. It is held during February, march. The library is well packed with a lot of books and journals. It is one of the best facilities of the university. It is air conditioned as well. The classrooms are very good with a lot of space, extremely clean, some air conditioned and some not, have benq screens in each of them. Very technologically advanced and good. Urja is the sports Fest held every year during the march April time. There are various games like football, cricket, tug of war, volleyball, throwball, table tennis, chess, caroms etc. yes there are student committees for certain courses like the psychology course and they help with student concerns and do the needful.

Admission :

I applied to numerous universities including Indian maritime university, Amity kochi, SCMS and got admission in all of them but I chose Chinmaya because the travel is easy as metro is right beside the college and the location of the university was pretty good. Admission process of the college was pretty easy and simple. I applied online when I was abroad and got admission instantly. There were no entrance exams required for getting admission and no specific cutoffs.

Faculty :

The faculties are pretty good and not so good as well. It depends. Some of them are extremely good and teach really well and care about the well being of the students whereas some are extremely biased and partial and not really right in the head. Mr Jayesh, Ms Rakhy, Ms Veena, Mr Ganesh are all really good faculty members. But faculties like Mr Vinod, Ms Bindusree, Mr Pradeep, Mr Rajendra Prasad are all people I didn't like due to their way and style of teaching and the way some are biased on the basis of religion and caste and race. We have mid sem exams and end semester examinations each sem depending on the course. Around 30 to 40% students fail to clear their examinations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main reason to attracted me to the court is it's main project it's really help us to how to manage a company. It's really helpful for using it in the real world, it consists, maths, English, Business laws and more subjects which helps to develop a business person. I think statistics is not necessary for this course if it removed from it, it would be more business oriented. The exam time is 3 hour's we could easily answer all the questions with this timing.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to take part in campus placements from the 5th semester. The college has an industrial relations department that prepares students for placement exams, GD and PIs. The companies that usually visit campus include, Deloitte, Wipro, Federal Bank, D E Shaw, Infosys, and many others. The positions are mainly that of junior associate or analyst in finance. The salary packages vary from 2.5 L to 6 L based on the company and the position offered. There aren't many placement opportunities for BBA students that are looking for a job related to their specialization (logistics). The percentage of students that get placed is small. I plan to attend campus placements that are open to me during the course.
