  • The whole campus is divided into three and located at three different places which kind of makes the travelling difficult
  • The college doesn't have a very good ground for sports activity and also is built in a minimal space.

Course Curriculum Overview :

From the second year of the course it is offering the students good clinical exposure. The students are able to see a whole variety of cases with the support of eminent faculties. Student are made to stay in the ops with the doctors so that they can have the real time experience beside the theoretical knowledge. The more the enthusiastic the student is the more the knowledge and experience they will gain Frequency of exams are good and they have well maintained intervals. Exams are of moderate difficulty level and a studious and up to date student might find the exams easy to crack!!

Internships Opportunities :

The intership is provided in the last year of the course during the house surgency. students will get the opportunity to get familiarised with each department and the procedures that are taking place there.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For the first year a fee of 17000 has to be paid. For the rest of the 3.5 years a fee of 14500 has to be paid. All the students are required to pay the respective amounts irrespective of the category they belong to.No other extra caution fee or lab fees to be paid. The book and educational supplies doesn't come under this fees and these vary with the year. Students who are economically backward can avail various scholarships like MCM,egrants etc.

Campus Life :

Various programs are held every year including arts and sports memorial events. The college has a well facilitated library accessible by both pg and ug students. All the classes are smartclasses with smartboards and mic facilities. The college has a very small ground which is a drawback but instead has a good facility for indoor games. Various student coordinated EC clubs are organised in the campus.

Hostel Facilities :

The rooms are sharing rooms. For the first year dorms are provided. For the senior year students sharing rooms with 3 people are available. Each student will be having their own bed and table. The hostel provides good food and a student run mess is available. Both non veg and veg delicacies are provided. The hostel is alloted to students based on their locality and distance from the college.

Admission :

Since the admission was from neet ranks I applied for both bhms and bams. First I got admitted to government homeopathy college TVM and then during the later allotment stages I was transferred to government ayurveda College TVM. I got a rejection from kottakkal ayurveda College Malappuram cause of lack of seats there. I got admitted to government dental college Alappuzha but I opt for bams at TVM college. The admission was based on neet ranks and Kerala allotments. The admission process was smooth A general category person with a Kerala rank 7k can get admission to this college.

Faculty :

The college has a good number of very eminent faculties. Each department is having a minimum of 4 faculties. During the commencement of an year every 4 student of a batch is assigned with a faculty as their mentor. The faculties are very approachable and very helpful. Regarding the exams... University exams are conducted to the end of the year Before that 2 internal exams and one model exam is conducted. It's necessary for the students to score a percentage of 35 in the above mentioned exams inorder to be deemed eligible to appear for the university exams. The exams are pretty easy to crack if a person has good knowledge with the syllabus. Both theory and practical exams will be conducted which requires a pass percentage of 50. Exam fee is around 700 rs for a single paper.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think we have a best curriculum. It includes all the aspects of the medical science. It includes some irrelevant topics like miscellaneous also. But it's good for us to learn about that all. There is internal exams as well as yearly exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I Chose this Course as it is Emerging more Effective in the past Few Years and I believe I could contribute more in this field. Moreover I was Interested in the Ancient Cultural form and the uniqueness of the Science of Ayurvedic Medicines and Treatment Methods. There are 14 Departments in the College including Both Clinical and Non Clinical aspects. Each Department Has about 6-7 Faculties Incuding HOD, Assistant and Associate Professors. At Present there are 5 batches of Students in the Undergraduate Course Excluding the House Surgeons. So about 360 Stuents total. There are about 200 Students in Various Post Graduate Course. The Faculties are appointed through Government Exams and Interviews and are Eligible after the BAMS degree and PG Qualification in respected departments with Experience of teaching. The method of teaching is very Systematic with periodic assessments. As per new NCISM rule term Exams are once in each 18 months and Can be passed through Systemic studying and activity.
