Course Curriculum Overview :
Pharm D course is different from other pharmacy courses in terms of the curriculum. Pharm D also known as doctor of pharmacy is a post graduate course. This course is difficult to complete because it has number of subjects which cover the knowledge about the drugs or medicines The frequency of exams are slightly similar to other courses. 3 mid exams are conducted during the respective year and ending the year with a semester. The pharm d course duration is 5 years followed internship(unpaid) which is one year. So it takes 6 years to complete the course in whole.
Placement Experience :
The college doesn't offer any placements for pharm d courses. But placements are there for b pharmacy courses. Students who complete their Pharm D course tends to find their own jobs through applications. The average salary a pharm d graduate gets is around 3 lakh per annum. After completing the pharm d course, the initial plan is to move abroad. Complete further studies in abroad and write their exams which grants the pharmacy licence. The job opportunities and salaries are far better than in India, so almost every student who completed their Pharm D course in india tends to move abroad and settle there.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees for the pharm d course is around 95000. Registration and admission fees are collected during admission itself. The fee structure is similar for every one unless the student is eligible for scholarship. Scholarship can be availed through scoring good marks in entrance exam like eamcet. There is no scholarship for management quota and generally categories like SC,ST and BC,EWS get the scholarship.
Campus Life :
The college helds events like freshers party for newcomers, Fest for the seniors and other career guided programs held by different organisations. the range and accessibility of books and journals availability is good. The classroom and other laboratories are in good condition. The sports and extra curricular activities are less concentrated.
Admission :
I have applied for few colleges such as anurag university, Sri indu college, Sri datta college. But I chose bharat school of pharmacy. The reason being it is very affordable compared to other colleges. For the amount iam paying, the college staff and infrastructure is fair enough. The admission process includes- Choice of admission from eamcet (or) management seat. Submit the required original copies of the documents such as tenth memo, inter memo, transfer certificate etc... Payment of fees (1st term) if necessary. Extra fees for management seat is compulsory for holding the seat.
Faculty :
The faculty for pharm d course is good as compared to another colleges. Every staff member can be approached for any kind of suggestions or doubts regarding the subject or career options. The exam pattern for pharm d course is different from other pharmacy courses. Only one semester is conducted by the end of the year. The exam difficulty is moderate for this course. If you study well accordingly, exams can be easier. The course curriculum is given during starting of the respective year. And the college follows it strictly.
