  • Need various and much more companies from all the streams of animation for placement.
  • There is a bit shortage of permanent teachers. Like u can find more guest teachers for Animation subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview :

3D animation subjects like Maya, Zbrush,Blender and game production influenced my decision to choose this course. The course here prepares you like 6-7 on a scale of 10 for real world applications. The rest you need to practice on your skills the more. As in this field our proficiency in skills matter the most. More and more advanced and detailed core of the softwares and subject to be taught would be appreciated more.

Internships Opportunities :

There are various internships provided like in 3D modeling, graphics designing, as well as video editing and VFX with a stipend ranging from 5000-15000. The companies like Think ucket studio, Tezsid studio. ExcelelnceA, etc and many more.

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for placement from 4th semester. Highest package for us animation students as of now is 4 lakhs. The placement said here is 100 percent but can change accordingly. After getting my degree I'm applying for masters.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The year wise fees i paid during first year was 86000. Later each year it decreased by about about a thousand or two. The fees include everything from caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, lab fees , etc. Also there is merit scholarship only during admission for first year. Later on there are also government provided or private other scholarships but only for like SC and ST and OBC.

Campus Life :

There are annual events like Kshitij festival. Also there are numerous co curricular competitions. Many technical competions . There is Hackathon. Then there are NSS drives. Each department has their own 1 whole week celebration having their special events and competitions. The library is also big with many books and journals. Also with a big reading area for students to sit and study. Each classroom has projector facility. College is very active in sports as well.

Admission :

I directly applied to this college in the first place because other colleges did not have a well defined curriculum in BSC Animation like MIT ACSC. Well as applied to only this college and getting selected immediately did not make me experience rejection. Well to get admitted here you need good percentage in 12th and a passion for Animation. There is also a sort of eligibility test and interview kind of with the professors.

Faculty :

The faculty is well adequately knowledgeable and very friendly and approachable. They are always open to help with any kind of issue. We had a guest professor for 3D Maya - Ajay Pardesi sir, he had very good knowledge on the subject and also had a very easy , fun and understanding way of teaching. Also the rest of our professors are quite good with their subjects too. We had a faculty before Ajay sir - Sandeep Bhokare sir , well he was very bad at whatever he taught, and did not end up completing even one proper topic till the end. But later he ended up leaving our college. There are 2 main exams that is mid sem and end sem each academic year. And 4 class tests overall apart from mid and end sem. That is 2 class tests each semester. The class tests are set with the appropriate difficulty as that of the mid and end sem papers coming from the University. The course curriculum is quite relevant and advanced .

The students are eligible to sit for placements from 3rd year and are allowed to do internships in the same. Allowing students to do internships during college helps students to learn more about their field and become ready for the industry as soon as we pass out.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in their 3rd year. They get summer internships and can do freelance work as well. Companies such as Infosys, Cognizant, Whirlpool, etc. recruit students from SID. The average package is around 10 LPA with the highest for this year being around 18 LPA. As of 2022, the percentage of students getting placements is 100%. As an animation student, I have various options to explore such as VFX Artist, Cartoonist, Visual Storyteller, etc. after my degree.

Placement Experience:

We are allowed to find internships and work on our own amidst this Covid situation. At the end of the our last year, we have a final project through which we have to cumulate all our knowledge and based on that we get our degree and our portfolio is built. There are on campus recruiting, where many renowned companies have come for placements. There is a 100% placement record maintained by our alumni. The highest pack was bagged by a student with over 30,000 /- per month. My plans are to work in a production studio where I can work closely with designers in game production, movie production and digital design.

I completed my B.Sc Multimedia Animation & Graphics from Srajan Institute of Gaming Multimedia and Animation. I learnt a wide variety of techniques and skills here from the faculties which turned out to be quite useful to me and the facilities provided here helped me practice and learn things better. My overall experience at college was very good.
