Remarks :
College management is all about the money. They make quite a lot anyway through donations and overall. But if I have to rate the college overall I would say it's moderate. Not so bad or not so great. They need better placement plans.
Entrance Preview :
Had been there for engineering as it's known for it and ended up changing the course as I chose other options. The college seemed fancy and had good rankings over the internet. Fell for their brochures and the college video. Also had heard quite about the college prior that it's good.
Course Curriculum Overview :
BBM was the course I opted. And it isn't that great at DSBS. I rate it moderate. They didn't really have a lot on the plate as options or choices but they offered something during the course. Faculties are helpful but not all faculties were great at teaching.
Internships Opportunities :
It doesn't provide any sort of internships if we need one we look for it outside the college. It provides a couple of skills development hourly based sessions. Which also includes something called CIL during each academic year.
Placement Experience :
Not so great for the business blocks. That is for management courses as there is nothing as such as placements really coming up other than douche bank. Which again has criteria to reject students with one or more backlogs being not eligible to sit at all even to give it a try.
College Events :
Apogee- management event Furore- engineering fest International fest. These are the main events happening in college other than ethnic days, farewells(at a huge scale) and every other small event like in any other college. Farewell, every year us the biggest gathering that takes place.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees are expensive when compared to the rest of the colleges actually. They take quite a lot unless you're on your merit quota. But for the Management courses, there is no exam as such which will reduce the fees. They might give a little concession if the student has the maximum grades or another talent proofs. Not so sure about it though.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The scholarship may be offered if the students are extra talented. I'm not aware of this part of the segment.
Campus Life :
Campus life is good enough, they do offer the hand for extracurriculars to an extent. Beat it sports, dance or anything. There is the number of events/competitions conducted intra and inter level fests. They're all good enough. But didn't see a majority of the students taking part is such during my academic years.
Hostel Facilities :
The new hostel buildings are apparently good. The boy's hostel is better than the girl's old hostel. But right now they have a new building for girls as well. Food is great, I don't think there should be any complaints regarding food. They have too many options. Campus overall is good. And known for it.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yeah, there are few seniors who stick by and the college also conducts alumni meet every year. Faculties are helpful when we reach them still.
Exam Structure :
Exam structure is pretty well organized. As they were under the BU board they had to obey their structure. But right now it's a deemed University for all the courses they offer. I have no actual idea about it as I passed out two years ago. But they do follow up.
Admission :
Went directly to the heritage block, spoke to the administrator, showed the documents and marks and I was eligible for the admissions. Then had to follow up with their admission procedures. The college squad will guide the student with the admissions and it's not so hard.
Faculty :
Not all the faculties are great. But few are really good. So again I would go for moderate ratings. They were helpful but not all were good enough to teach or make the course interesting. It was like you pay for and take with you what you get. But few were really good planting in some knowledge and helping through.
