Remarks :
A decent college which acts bit strict sometimes. It'll be perfect if you follow their rules as it is. No bad remarks at all.
Entrance Preview :
It is the best college in my locality with great infrastructure and good number of placements. NAAC accredited vignan with A grade. For the first time in visakhapatnam, Microsoft visited a college for campus drive and that is one and only vignan and it picked 11 students.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our college is affiliated to JNTUK so we follow JNTUK curriculum. It is a good curriculum for fundamentals. But if you want to learn deeper you have to use other sources. JNTUK updates its curriculum every 3 years in the name of regulation. It's a good practice to cope up with ever changing technology.
Internships Opportunities :
No. They won't provide any internships instead they provide trainings on new technologies. But if you get an internship yourself, they'll support you.
Placement Experience :
So good. Im in final year of my B.Tech and I'm currently having 2 jobs in my hand. Nearly 20 companies have already visited our college for recruitment and many more are coming this year. Our college have record of bringing amazon and microsoft to college for drives.
College Events :
We have fest every year. Earlier the fest is celebrated once a year in January for 3days which includes both technical and cultural events. But now the fest is divided into two, one is tech fest which is celebrated in September and another one is cultural which is celebrated in January.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee had been feasible for us. But they doubled it for our juniors which is looking expensive. They have made many changes in infrastructure for our juniors. Im sure it worth every penny of their fee. We used to pay 33000 along with government fee reimbursement. Our juniors are paying 72000 along with government fee reimbursement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Our college offers scholarship for merit students in every semester. There's no loan facility. Every merit student will get fee reimbursement or scholarship from college.
Campus Life :
Campus life at vignan is one in a lifetime opportunity. So greenish environment. As our college is far from city and main road, we don't have any noises. Diversity is well maintained and gender ratio is nearly 60% boys and 40% girls. Our college conducts so many technical workshops and competitions along with curriculum.
Hostel Facilities :
As I'm a day scholar, I never been in college hostel. But I have friends who live in college hostel. They say that the facilities are good but the food is bit cheap in quality. Coming to mess, dosa is so popular there. Food tastes good buy they raise rate every month
Alumni/Alumna :
Senior students are very helpful. They helped us a lot in project and placements. As I'm a senior now, I'm helping my juniors with their projects and assisting them for future placements.
Exam Structure :
Our college follows JNTUK exam pattern. We have 2 mid exams. Best of 2 mids is considered. One mid will be in august and other one will be in January. Mid is for 30 marks and semester is for 70 marks. One has to get minimum of 24 out of 70 in semester and 40 out of 100 in semestet and mids combinedly.
Admission :
I have wrote AP EAMCET and scored 72 out of 160. Since intermediate marks also given weightage for ranking, I scored 924 out of 1000 and got 17561 rank in EAMCET. I have appeared for document verification and applied to vignan through web conselling and got admission.
Faculty :
They are so good at what they do. Some of our faculty have done Ph.D and some of them are currently pursuing Ph.D. I love the way our faculty interacts with us just like friends. They are so helpful in many aspects and they are well experienced.Friendly faculty!
