VSICS -Review

Dislikes

  • The infrastructure : More than my school , but definitely unlike college.. Yes you can roam it all in 10 mins
  • No Campus Vibe or Nothing like a Campus life ...This is where it hits you bad but overall decent college...Up to you to enjoy it to the fullest

Course Curriculum Overview :

B.C.A at VSICS is a game-changer for any student joining the institute without prior knowledge of computers and languages, he will be transformed into an industry-ready professional with skills and a personality loaded enough to enter the corporate world and start earning with steady income growth. The curriculum is great and flexible for you to do slow and impactful learning in 3 years with Python and C as the main languages. Term exams or Mid-Sems are not something to worry about, they happen once in every sem and can be done easily. Just remember one thing, Take one language like C, python or C++, or Java and become an expert in that in your own individual learning, ask from Facs. and keep learning at your own pace.

Placement Experience :

An 80% placement guarantee is what I can take from this institute for BCA, given that you have worked on your CV and yourself efficiently here. Companies like Delloite, Accenture, and TCS -the great IT employers and more arrive in placement season and recruit good talent in bulk amounts, they may arrive twice depending on thier fulfillment. The Training and placement cell does a commendable job of training students with aquedate interview skills along with language essentials. Packages on average go up to 8-9 LPA, the highest ones and the bulk hiring get 3-4 LPA which leverages the average to 4-5 LPA, a good starter in the industry for a fresh candidate.. 80-85% students make it to One offer letter, The prodigies may fetch 2-3 letters and this happens.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

150000 for BCA ( full 3 year fees). tuition fees. No big hikes in fees. Depending on your distance, take your Traveling costs in and count on it. The scholarship is there from the UP government but the ones with a limited annual income can apply else the students with fathers in government jobs cannot apply.

Campus Life :

Fests and Extracurricular events like singing, poetry, prose, dancing, and hacking competitions keep happening on campus, the intervals are on a month or two. Annual fest Srijan is a Great one, great to be at Learn, enjoy, and most importantly grow. Even you get to visit other VSEF group Colleges in this whole scenario of events. Intersection competitions always keep the heat high and the Annual Sports Day is a must-experience. Clubs are there for every purpose like Cultural, Social, and literature and they are devoted to doing their best for the purpose.

Admission :

No entrance Exam thing here.. come with your Basic documents that are handled after the 12th and fill in some forms, pay some advance (I guess 10000) and your seat is locked. Reservation benefits, i have no idea regarding them. Every one of my peers paid the same fees except for the ones who got scholarships from Gov...Eligibility is 12th pass with a 60% grade and check thier website for this info. The admission process is as simple and basic as it could have been.

Faculty :

Faculties are all masters in thier subjects and other subjects as well which are common and basic to all. This is Vsics, 8 out of 10 faculties now programming, and this is a plus point for BCA students here. Faculties are in good numbers, catering to every student's needs here, it's up to you how well and effectively you reach out to them. They will always be available in the college meantime in classes or afterward, and will always welcome you to solve any kind of doubts, just be polite and speak up..coming from personal experience.

Placement Experience:

Basically the campus placements is depend on the skills and knowledge of the student from 4th and 5th semester the students for eligible for the campus placements but the students from third semester can also get placed in companies if he or she has good skills and knowledge . The highest package offered in this college was rupees 10 lakh per annum and the average package is 450000 per annum . It also depends on the company to company. Above 50% students are placed in their dream companies in this college . My plan after getting this degree is to do MCA from NIT Trichy college by clearing the NIMCET exam. Because BCA is not that enough if we want to make our career in Big multinational companies, MCA is required.

Mostly, from the 5th semester, students start becoming eligible for campus placements. Amazing companies like HCL, Amazon, Infosys will visit the campus every year and hire the students who really performs well. The package offers keep changing depending on the position you are hired for. Mostly, freshers get a pay of 20,000 per month. Almost 50% of students will get placement. I literally want to do my masters and then get hired by a company.
