  • The placement cell is absolutely pathetic for agriculture. Why paying soo high fees when you don't even get a decent or relevant job.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is good. But I think the theory we learn in class room is quite different what practically is happening on fields outside. I think some practical knowledge from outside must be added. And also the frequency of field work is less. The mid exams are conducted in the middle of sem and sem exams to the end. The exams are not too difficult and can be easy to score a good number if you study well.

Internships Opportunities :

For agriculture companies like VN organics, Rentokill, Dehaat, Zenesis Agro came for placements. Zenesis Agro offered internship which I personally did. It's so pathetic and unprofessional. The placements are worst. You get packages around 3 or 3.5 lpa when you are paying more than 8 lakhs just for tution fee. Placement numbers where they show above 10 lakhs belong to b.tech and other courses. For agriculture, the placements are worst. You can only have placement if you are physically present in the campus in your last semester. That means you have to do your elp from campus if you want a placement. If you are doing an internship elsewhere in your last semester you won't get any placement as all interviews are offline. Not one is online. Which is very pathetic as they themselves give permission for internships anywhere but wouldn't take any action or responsibility for the placement of students doing those internships.

Placement Experience :

The placement cell might be good for b.tech but is worst for agriculture. They bring companies like rento kill which are pest control for agriculture graduates. They have few companies with which they tie up and they only come for internships and placements . The fee they charge is around 8 lakhs butbthe companies come with 3lpa or 3.5 lpa. We must be physically present whenever a company comes. No online interviews are conducted. The roi is very bad

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tution fee when I joined in 2019 was 36000 per semester. But now for my juniors it is 92000 per semester which is a very big change. The classroom also upgraded to digital and ac to compensate the fees hike. Hostel fees for triple sharing is 105000 currently while it's used to be 85000. The college campus doesn't provide any campus employment or part time jobs. Loan facility is available with few banks

Campus Life :

The overall campus life is. We have a badminton court and cricket ground. We have amphitheatre named naad where all events takes place. Dj nights and bonfires happen for hostel students on occasions. Library is present at every course block and central library is also there. Nescafe and other food courts are present. Stationary and Xerox and other daily required items are also available on campus. The mess food is bad but sometimes you can manage. Some sports and extra circular events take place like cricket tournaments.or debates etc

Hostel Facilities :

There are 2 blocks for girls and 3 for boys. New girls hostel is better than old one. The hostel fees when I was enrolled was 85000 per year. Now it is 105000 per year. Hostel wifi gives only 1gb per day. Doesn't even work on some floors. Hostel bathrooms are not bad. Mess food is not good. Breakfast is decent though. Mess foods somedays can be managed.

Admission :

You are eligible if you pass your 12th class. You can apply online on website and then contact the admission section in turari campus to get your admission. It is a 2 days process which is easy. Hostel is also alloted quickly. No entrance exam is there. I think no reservations are also there. Everybody are treated same until we pay the fees amount.

Faculty :

All professors are with good post graduation or PhD qualifications but even with the qualification some professors are not upto any good. Teachers interact well with students and give good guidance. They suggest good books. College also has library facility with good number of books to refer from. The students are a bit high when compared to teachers in number. Labs and field work is done less or improper. That must change

it is one of the best colleges in Madhya Pradesh. It is recommended by my friends. Admission is done by the entrance test conducted by the professional examination board, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. if you are applying with ICAR test score you shall be admitted over and above the prescribed seats from time to time. eligibility criteria for this course are 10+2 with science as a subject.
