- It feels like school in this college . Lots of restrictions they put on girls especially
Course Curriculum Overview :
MBBS as a whole requires a lot of smart work + hard work .. as I said earlier our whole of the curriculum makes us focus on university exams and viva examination but according to me , they must focus us more on practical .because if we don't interact with the patient first , how to treat the patient, then there will be no use of all theoretical knowledge..
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Every year there is 10 % increase in the tuition fee as per rules and regulations of private institution. Overall fees is around 70-75 lakhs including tuition fee , hostel fee and registration fees etc .there are no such scholarships or financial aid is given in our institution . Stipends provided to interns are very less .rules and regulations are very strict for girls .. there is no equality between a male MBBS student and a female MBBS student in case of work and learning.
Campus Life :
There is no fest type of things happen in our college , there is only holiday on either of the sikhs guru Jayanti ,only last year an interproff fest happened in our colllge , there is limited availability of books in the library , library rules and regulations are also very strict . A sports meet happens every year in our college , but there are no big grounds present .No as such student run social groups or clubs present in our college .
Admission :
Eligibility criteria is the NEET-UG exam +12 pass . After the result announced , the counselling process started online on the baba Farid website .. there are special reservations for Sikh minority including SC,STs, general category etc.. the cutoff is different for different categories.
Faculty :
Almost all the faculty members and professionals are highly educated (MBBS/MD/MS). Some of the teachers taught us in a very interactive way which makes our concept crystal clear but other faculty members just come to read the slide and then go . The major missing is that they focus more on theoretical part and less or negligible focus on practical part .
