- GNDU have almost more the 30 departments. The teachers here are helpful ,I appreciate that the university acknowledge every students problem and try to solve it
- Placements are provided by our university. Personally I have a good experience being here
Dislikes
- I personally feel that rather than choosing b.com(hons) one should opt for simple b.com as the syllabus is same for both and It's too expensive
- Mostly teachers are biased as some students get more acknowledgement this is what I personally felt . Some teachers are not so good in teaching
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose b.com(Hons) only because it have an internship program in the last semester. The course has practical subjects that can be used in real life but the teachers should focus more on practical knowledge than theory. Exams are conducted every semester twice so that students can work on their lacking subjects.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are available with the college but not for all the students. Interviews are conducted and eligible students get internships through college, and left students have to find the internship themselves as it is important for the students to get internships. Presently I don't know much about the internship programmes.
Placement Experience :
Placements are offered at our university. students get placements on the basis of their cgpa and knowledge and interviews taken by the respected companies. Students of the third year get placements but not everyone. highest and average package offered is 11 lakh per annum. Companies such as Amazon, Coco Coca-Cola, Axis Bank, and ICICI banks visit here.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure of b.com(Hons) is 75770/- approx for semesters 1,3,5 and 35460 approx for semesters 2,4,6. The total cost is nearly about 400000/- including tuition fees, exam fees, etc. I don't know about the scholarships but most scholarships are for the OBC category or SC category. I'm a general category Student I didn't get any scholarship.
Campus Life :
Annually the Jashan is an inter-department competition held in the month of April .and our university also hosts the youth festival every year and many colleges participate in this festival. The sports department conducts sports competitions such as football, cricket, badminton etc both for boys and girls.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are moderate. But once you live there, you get used to the hostel life and the girls' hostel has a reading room for the students, a medical room is also there and a computer lab to which Every hotel have access and a wifi facility is also provided to the students. The quality of the meal and menu is not that good. Gndu hostels are affordable, students must fill out the application form for hostel admission.
Admission :
12 th pass in any stream. Apply for admission by filling out the application form provided on the official website. Mostly applications for new students are opened in the month of May and entrance exams are conducted in the month of June and counseling is in the month of July. No idea about the benefits of reservation. The difficulty level is not so high it's moderate. Counseling takes time as it is done according to the ranks of the students they got in entrance exams.
Faculty :
The faculty members are mostly PhD holders and they are not they are Postgraduate. Teachers are sometimes unable to pay attention to all the Students personally but students can approach teachers whenever they want during working hours and after that most teachers don't interact with students. There are more students than teachers in a classroom.
