DBRANLU - The good and the bad.

  • Very less faculty, that too, not specialised.
  • Taking fees and not providing facilities for the same like no placements.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our course curriculum for 2024 batch was not so great and even compulsory subjects notified by the BCI were left out from the same till our final year. We had to study 7 subjects in the 5th year of our degree which took focus away from other important activities like internships, moots, research papers.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are zero campus employment opportunities and 5000-6000 fee for the same every year inclusive of the training. There's no training for the students as well. When the same was complained about, the administration denied to take any responsibility of the same. It was two to three times that scholarship forms were out but there has been no enactment upon them. Although, third party scholarships like from any organisation, state scholarships are entertained. Fee is about 2,20,000.

Campus Life :

There are no annual and technical festivals, books are available as per the mood of the faculty, there is an okayish availability of e-library. 2-3 classes have smart boards and there's a dearth of extracurricular activities, although sports is better than that. There's a good number of groups, clubs and societies for students to participate in.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are one thing that is bove average in the campus. The meal is not so good. Hostel is about 30000 per semester and additional 20000 for AC. The students have to mandatorily option for hostels so there's no point of rented rooms of PGs nearby. Rooms have a bed, a chair, a table and an almirah which are all great. Room also has a beautiful balcony. Although the elevator and water cooler maintenance can be worked upon along with shooing away all the birds that are fellow-boarders in the washrooms.

Admission :

The admission is through the Common Law Aptitude Test. There's reservation for SCs, STs, OBCs, Domicile, EWS and the like. The exams are held 2 times per semester, mid terms and the end terms and their difficulty level is medium to difficult. Admission is done in about 4 counselling sessions as per the cut off notified after the CLAT.

Faculty :

It is only recently that 2-3 good teachers have been appointed in the university. Earlier, the same teacher was teaching 3-4 subjects and they were not even permanent. As for the ratio, I'll not say it's apt since the teachers are very less in number and each batch has about 120 students. Teaching an mentorship was only appreciable for 1-2 teachers and the rest were just there to draw salaries. The Dean of Academic Affairs was a self absorbed man who didn't cater to students' needs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There were two exams per semester, first is mid term examination and second is end term examination. Difficulty level of examination is totally subjective, depending upon year of study and subject. While the mid term difficulty level could range between easy to moderate.

Placement Experience:

1st batch is passed this year and many students get pre-placement offers from companies like Khaitan and Co. And many other profound companies in the legal field. Many students get placed after completing their degree Most of the students are preparing for different judiciary examinations and some students are likely to clear the exam Ppo starts from the 9th or 10th sem There is a cell for this specific work - internship and placement cell which work actually works better than we all thought.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm a law student pursuing BALLB hons from kurukshetra University. The faculty is quite good and impressive which offer you valueable knowledge and skills for future. The faculty needs to improve the placement cell because there their placement rates are not quite impressive. Now they do provide some of the online internships to the students but no real world experience. Exams difficulty level are moderate. Results are published after the 6 months of exam being conducted

Placement Experience:

Internships are given to all students through superset if they choose to apply through it. Not a large percentage of people are placed after graduating. Few are places in top tier firms, depending on their GPA and participation in certain activities.
