  • Not satisfied with the placements. Keeping in mind the jobs opportunities after b.pharma, college doesn't provide satisfactory placements to students.
  • Also, internships are not done, which is a serious issue for pharma students to work and get any job after b.pharma.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is overall relevant. If we talk about building confidence in students, there are presentations conducted and also Extra curriculum activities activities are conducted regularly. Also, the teaching staff provides real-life examples to us which helps us to connect to the real world and understand very quickly. Students are made to work in the lab under good observance so that they can learn something on their own. The exams are not conducted timely which is due to the carelessness of the university, because of which the students have to suffer. The students who are in the last semester fail to get admission to the master's degree because of the late conduction of the semester exams by the university, which is according to me a big loss for the students trying to apply for higher education after B.pharmacy.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college fee for our course is 85,000 per year. From which 4,000 yearly is the examination fee. Scholarships are also provided to students based on their yearly performance in exams by Jamna Auto Industries. They provide a maximum scholarship of 15,000 to students who got more than 85% and a minimum of 8,000 is provided to students who got more than 75%. Also, the College provides a good scholarship to SC/BC Students which can help so much financially to the students. The tution fee increases every year on an average of about 5 to 10 thousand per year, which I think is a big financial problem for middle-class students keeping in mind the facilities provided to the students at the campus, are so high. In the last year's admissions, the course fee has increased and reached at 1 lakh 15 thousand per year.

Campus Life :

The campus life is way more exciting here. Many extracurricular activities are held regularly for the students to take part in and boost their confidence. Like freshers for the new students in February month, farewell for the last year's students in April month, teachers' day is also celebrated in August, Pharma fest programs are also held here, Sports mela are also organized by the college every year in September, and many more. The books which are of great importance like the PV books are made available in the library and the environment of the library is overall good. In the classrooms, AC is available, fans are good working, lightning is very good, projectors are made available for a better learning experience and whiteboards are also available. The classroom is very spacious. Many social groups are run by students like the Rotaract Club, Red Cross Society Club, and many more.

Admission :

The students who get above 60 percent can apply to a B.Pharma course in our college and can get seats easily. The number of seats at our admission time was 110. The application form can be found online at the college website along with the fees mentioned for each course. I haven't availed of any reservation benefits. The difficulty level is not high of the exams and they are conducted within a month including practicals also, so it is not a matter of worry. The admission process can be made more easy by telling students about the placements and opportunities before their admission.

Faculty :

The teaching staff here is very supportive. Like they helps us to develop our personal and professional skills as well as communication skills. They are always ready to solve our any query regarding any topic. Even there are also extra classes conducted on weekend days for the students. Teachers are very approachable and always deals with students with a mentor personality.

Placement Experience:

After 8th semester students are eligible for placements because without degree you are not able to do job because Pharmacy is totally based on medicine which effects human lives . There are more than 100 companies who visit Sgt University for off campus selection of students and interviews. Companies like sun pharma , appollo, mankind and many more companies, you can get about this on the official website of Sgt University. Highest package was of 22 lakhs from our Sgt college and average is around 5 lakhs. Percentage never makes students eligible for any kind of job , there are so many students who took job in best companies while in m pharm there was a student,he was having onle 64% and he took job in research and development field in very reputed company. I am planning to do job in any pharmaceuticals company for sometime and side by side I will prepare for govt exams because for government job like drug inspection you need atleast 18 months of job experience.

Admission:

After I completed my 12th boards, I applied for admission here in this college. I had got good results in my 12th boards which is an aggregate of 50% and therefore my application for admission was selected.

Placement Experience:

The placements are the best for our seniors. Around 75% of the students were placed all over Bangalore. The salary offered is in between 10K to 20K per month. We are placed in hospital during the internship on how good knowledge we have on the basis ofgiving good treatment to the patients. the salary in the beginning is less but as the experience increases we can even open our own clinic or even hospital or work privately too.
