Remarks :
Overall the management and college was well and good. I suggest you join MVSR College but not hostel there are different hostels around. But college was awesome to enjoy as well as to study. The main thing is the OU certificate you receive at the end of your final year!!! Hope you love this...Do visit the college for more experience!!!
Entrance Preview :
Firstly it was an Osmania affiliated college and the second reason that I opted for this college that my teachers in my intermediate said me that this is one of the good colleges in Hyderabad and Now it is even having NBA Accreditation. When I visited the college the environment was well and good so I loved it and I joined in it.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I joined as an Electrical student, 1st year the syllabus was the same when I joined the college and next 3years different branches would have different subjects. As far as the structure concerned the college will follow the structure and rules Of OU(Osmania University) and even the pattern of exams schedules, syllabus and everything would be structured by Osmania University.
Internships Opportunities :
No, MVSR doesn't provide any internship but it recommends to other internship providers such as NTPC, KTPC, BHEL and so on...I have done my Internship in NTPC with the recommendation of our HOD.
Placement Experience :
Placements are well and good generally placements start in 4th-year 1st semester. Placements start in the month of June and will be continuing till next year April. Not only software companies but other companies like Servomax, Servo medha, Hyundai also visit the college for placement and even college provide placement classes.
College Events :
Events are categorized as Technical and Cultural events in the form of the fest, Generally, every branch does celebrate their own Technical Fest Every year and once in 2years there will be a fest name Samavarthan as Technical+ cultural fest and the next year it will be Purely Cultural fest named Sangamam. There are other events like dandiya and there are IEEE programs also and many more...
Fee Structure And Facilities :
It is little expensive if you are not getting any reimbursement because the fee is 1 lakh and other expenses will be around 50k and Hostel fees should be paid if you are an outside(Away from Hyderabad). So if you get a good rank you can get fee reimbursement except in one case that is the father should not be a government employee.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Banks give loans but college doesn't provide any loans and scholarship is provided by the government of Telangana to good students. (I don't know the exact scholarship...As I didn't get a scholarship because my dad was a government employee).
Campus Life :
The gender ratio won't be that difference, there is an almost equal number of boys and girls in the college. Every equipment was available in the college and sports were conducted as inter-college as well as intra college. Robotics, We will have seminars on it too. Debates are welcomed during technical fests.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel was Good, But can't say it as excellent. I stayed there for 1st two years and left there in a 3rd year for GATE coaching and again went to College hostel in 4th year. The food was Ok, Hostel was an old one but has all the facilities but the problem is it has a huge cost around 60k per annum and Rooms were too old. In summer there would be a water problem (As the motor was an old one and can't even change because of the pulling capacity). To give a rating I can give around 6/10(my personal opinion).
Alumni/Alumna :
Every year MVSR conducts an Alumni year in the month of December and many attend the college. They were helpful because you will try to connect people you left.
Exam Structure :
Exam structure is Every year we will be having 2 semesters and in each semester We will have 2 internal exams + 1 lab internal which will be conducted by the college itself with internal professor's preparing the question paper. Then a Final Semester exam which will be conducted by OU along with External lab's and the External will be from Outside colleges(Not from MVSR).
Admission :
The admission process is to qualify EAMCET Exam, when I wrote my exam I got a rank around 15k with BC - D category. But now for a general student, they should definitely get below 8K rank, Such a competition was increased for MVSR in last 4years. After getting rank you just need to go for EAMCET counseling and use CODE MVSR in Web options.
Faculty :
Faculty in MVSR are very friendly, Not only in EEE but also every branch because we used to have some other branch subjects also but even they spend good time for explanation and doubts. Faculty were skilled and will be available during college hours from Monday - Saturday
