Remarks :

The college life was an enjoyable memory for me and I still cherish the days and go for annual ex student meets. Live bands and functions and drama, singing and role plays entertain us in the meets.

Entrance Preview :

I passed out the WBJEE exams in 2005 and opted for this college over others because of the location(it was just around 4 hrs from Howrah).

Course Curriculum Overview :

The institute is affilated to West Bengal University of Technology. The course is standard and UGC recognised. The courses can only be learnt after passing the WBJEE entrance or through the management quota. There are sufficient practical and seperate buildings are there for seperate departments.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship not available

Placement Experience :

There is an internal placement cell in the campus with a qualified placement officer. Off campus placement details are also shared with the students. Some of the companies where our ex students work are-TCS, CTS, IBM, Capgemini, IDBI Bank, State Bank of India, Bhel etc.

College Events :

We celebrate an allumnus meet and a college grand fest every year and also extempo and debate Freshers welcome ceremony and Seniors farewell ceremony is held. Teachers day is also celebrated at our college hall. Famous bands like Fisdil, Cactus and Chandrabindu had come to our campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee is standard for a private engineering college and a middle class family can afford it. The exam fees are to be paid semester wise. There are seperate expenses for buying books, practical instruments and other stationery items. Fooding and lodging is extra. Around 8 lakhs should very well suffice for the total 4 year all kind of expenses including semester fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No such details of scholarship are known to me. However education loan is readily available depending apon the patents financials by various banks as the institute is UGC recognised and the courses are full time regular ones.

Campus Life :

Extracurricular activities like debates, extempos etc are held the gender ratio is healthy and depends solely apon the joint entrance exam rankings. No political influence so far.The course is affordable for middle class onwards. The prospect of placement is quite good is someone regularly follows classes and does not get carried away in having a good time.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels are not extra ordinary but decent ones with wardens and cleaning hands. The food is regular bengali food with rice, roti, fish etc. There are seperate boys and girls hostel. A small local snacks shop and a daily needs shop is also nearby. The

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors and alumni network is helpful and some of the campus placements happened due to the effort of the Alumus and their recommendations.

Exam Structure :

Bi-annual exams are there. There are total 8 semesters in the 4 year engineering course. The semester exams are held simultaneously with other institutes under WBUT and the exam paper is uniform for all the institutes. External faculty evaluates the paper

Faculty :

Some of the faculty are bright ex students of the college. Most of the faculty are qualified engineers. Some of the faculty are my batch mates or seniors and either stay in the hostel or nearby and are access able to the students for help with the studi

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.
