Likes

The ambience and environment of Gujarat University is filled with positivity and motivation. The campus sits in the lap of lush greenery. One can also spot peacocks often.
The classrooms especially for technical courses are well equipped with projector and AC along with brand new furniture.

Dislikes

Hostel facilities need to improve. They need to upgrade and maintain the sanitation facilities
Mess and catering needs improvement as well

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have taken up MCA at DCS GU. The admissions for this course is based on CMAT. The course is recently updated to suit industry requirements. There are 2 internal exams ( Theory+ practical) and one University end semester exam. Exam level is easy to moderate. But students will need to take up academics seriously for MCA

Class Size : 35Course Fees : INR 7000 per year

Placement Experience :

Since the aftermath of sem 2 , placement process begins and continues for months. Local and pan India organisations come for recruitment. It involves written + technical+ HR rounds. My institution has consistently placed above 90 percentage of students

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As I am yet to progress through my final semester, I am yet to find an internship opportunity. However, almost all of my immediate seniors have joined their respective job organisation and college played a big role in it

Campus Life :

Annual tech fests , annual sports meet and all the festivals are celebrated with great zests. Above that cultural celebrations and gatherings keep happening every now and then and it's free for students

Admission :

I appeared for CMAT which is entrance for DCS GU for MCA After exam results, ACPC undertakes the admission process and based on merit list and selected colleges, you are offered admission into available organisations.

Faculty :

The faculty to student ratio is not more than 1:35 All the faculties are erudite and possess reservoir of knowledge. All of them have either completed PhD or are pursuing it. Despite all this they are very humble and helpful

Form 5th semester our placement process starts. There are many companies like TCS, ECW, envoys that conduct placement overall there are about 18 to 20 companies that do campus placement in our college The highest annual package is around 4 LPA and the average package is around 3 to 2.8 LPA Almost 90 percent of students get a job offer. I am having an internship at one of our recruiters and then will get a job offer at the same company
