Dislikes

  • There are no sports event in this college, but they do select students for intercollegiate competitions
  • The hostel is in very bad condition, they have not made any effort to improve or clean it

Course Curriculum Overview :

Mpkv is a very reputed university in terms of this course, there are many research centres and colleges under this university, It has a vast scope in further studies and placements, it teaches you everything based on real world applications like personality development, creating skills and many other too which are very helpful in today's world. The teaching methods they use are very efficient, by showing slides on projector and pictures it is really easy to learn

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As this is a government college tution fee and other fees are very less and affordable, tution fee costs about 12,000-15,000 per year and there is no hike in fees , along with tution fees , other fees included examination fee , Gym fee, magzine fee , student fund etc. Many scholarship are available to students based on cast system and for general category too

Campus Life :

Annual festivals and celebration are usually not done in this college , exception to some festivals There are huge numbers of books available in the library, all books including all the subjects that are taught along with general knowledge books which help in preparation of government exams Classrooms have facilities of projector for teaching and blackboards Sports and extracurricular activities are very much in hike here , every year almost all sports are conducted and students are selected for intercollegiate competitions. There is a student run club called ACDF Committee which helps students with any of their problem

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is not so good as expected from the college , there are almost 30 rooms for each year students, 3 students in one small room with common toilets and bathroom which are not cleaned daily Quality of meal was very bad. Registration for hostel was alongside of admission process

Admission :

Eligibility for this course is having biology in 10+2 with minimum 50% marks in board exam and the entrance exam is mht-cet with biology subject Cutoff for the entrance exam is usually above 92 percentile for general , 90 for EWS , 85 for OBC 80 for NT/SC and anywhere about 75+ for ST catagory, other reservation includes PWD (person with disability), PAP (project affected person) , Landless agriculture labour, Freedom fighter etc . Application form is done through online portal of cetcell , difficulty level of this exam is moderate/low moderate

Faculty :

For theory lectures the teacher to student ratio is 1:100 but for practicals is as good as 1:35 , practical session are very much interactive and two way conversation. Each 30 student are given one council teacher which we can approach whenever in need and they help us solve the problem and convey it to higher level

In this college, companies don't visit. Students who want to do the job have to give interviews for joining the company. I have planned to get a master degree after bachelors and start my own business and become successful.

Admission:

I got admission on the basis of the entrance exam held by ICAR itself. Generally, admissions are done on the basis of merit, but some seats are reserved for the students who clear the entrance exam. I got preference over merit-based admissions.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are limited, but most of my batch-mates went for higher studies. The degree course is good enough to establish a legit base in the agricultural domain. Many students go for PhDs which is the most lucrative field for the agricultural domain.
