- Usage of smartphones is strictly prohibited inside the college campus
- Syllabus is never completed on time which leads to extra classes .
Course Curriculum Overview :
Exams are held semester wise to check the level of knowledge of the students. The level of examinations are moderate. If a student will study sincerely for 15-20 days before exam she would still be able to pass the exams. The college course curriculum is based on CBCS. Since I was from commerce stream, I wanted to pursue a higher degree in commerce.
Internships Opportunities :
The college has some compulsory add-on courses which every student has to enroll in. It is necessary for some of the add-on courses to do internship under certain types of companies. In the add on course of RISK AND INSURANCE MANAGEMENT, students need to do a one month internship under an insurance company. In HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, students need to do a one month internship under any organization. As per my internship, I worked as an intern at CARE HEALTH INSURANCE as an junior intern.
Placement Experience :
Students from semester IV V and VI are eligible for campus recruitment processes. They are allowed to attend seminars and various job interviews held inside the college campus. Many companies visited the campus last year few of which were TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES, UJJIVAN BANK and many more. Placement percentage is less since many students opt for going for higher studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fees I paid for 3 years of my course was 250000. The college takes 1500-2000 rupees per semester for the examination form filling process. Few scholarships are provided to the weakest section students which includes MVDF classes, etc.
Campus Life :
The college conducts many annual functions such as VIRASAT or college day held in the month of November. OJASWINI or women's day celebration, CARMEL FEST held in the month of May-June. The library has a plethora of books which can be issued by the students as per their convenience. Classrooms are quite spacious with projectors and mic and speakers. The various types of sports activities organized by the college are Cricket, badminton, basketball and taekwondo. The college also has its environmental SRISHTI CLUB which gives the exposure of environment to the students.
Admission :
The eligibility of the course is that students from commerce stream must have a aggregate 50% marks in 12th boards whereas the students from non-commerce streams must have 60% marks aggregate. Application forms can be found online at the college website. The application form costs around 1500. The college conducts two types of exams Mid semester examinations and end semester examination. The mid semester examination comprises of 15 marks whereas the end semester examination comprises of 70 marks
Faculty :
The faculty members were helping and provided assistance whenever needed. All the faculty members were highly experienced. The teaching methods of the faculty members were very basic, they used to teach in hinglish.
