- A little more washroom hygiene would be appreciated
- A Gymkhana or room dedicated for indoor activities/games is not there like in other colleges
Course Curriculum Overview :
Aiming to be an HR technology specialist, So choosing BMS from HR specialization helps in gaining basic knowledge as well as study experience counted towards the field. My curriculum helps me by giving me an understanding of basic terminologies used, the process knowledge, and how things work in the real-life corporate world. The exams conducted in my curriculum are easy to understand and write and supports self-learned answering so it's easier to input whatever you understand in the answers and get marks from it instead of sticking to the book and writing word-to-word answers.
Internships Opportunities :
Companies that come for internships or full time employment opportunities for commerce stream. Companies that I have the idea about is firstsource which gives 19k-20k/month for a fresher in international BPO. Teleperformance around 14k-15k for domestic and around 20k for international, BTW (BTW Visa services) which also gives around 20k for freshers. Other companies are ICICI (NiiT), UNICERT, Nimap infotech etc. A special placement drive day will be arranged where everyone has to come with their cvs and submit them and a placement drive speech will be given by an external expert before the interviews start.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible from 2nd semester onwards. College placement programs are one thing I would appreciate about my college. It is conducted every year and a lot of companies take part in it. Mostly BPO's but they are reputed ones like Teleperformance, Firstsource etc. The selections are made as per the company planning however each company does select minimum of 5-7 candidates as per my notation. Higest package is around 40k/ month to a student from our college. My plans after getting degree is to do MBA in technical HR specialisation to get more educational experience in the field and get a better payout.( The companies mentioned are for commerce stream only)
Fees and Financial Aid :
My college tution fees is ?35000/- per year and 500 for admission the fees is the same for each year of the course. Other colleges do provide the same course for a less fees. This may not be affordable for many people college do provide installments but only after insisting. The complete cost of my education from my college is ?1,06,500/- for a 3 year course in BMS. A good thing is the placement drive is carried out each year which provides internships and employment in good BPO companies. Scholarships may be there for students but I'm unaware of them. Overall it would be better if the college reduced the yearly fees and give students an installment payment method easily.
Campus Life :
Annual festivals are conducted regularly and are grand some examples can be Utsav fest, Carpe diem and others. They are really grand and many celebs and influencers are invited to the fests. There are social groups like DLLE or NSS which conducts regular cleanliness drives and matches in the local area. Sports and extra curricular activities I would rate 6/10 as indoor games do not have a separate place to be played neither the college is equipped with any of it. The volleyball net is present foosball ground is also there on the same. Library is well equipped with the books which the curriculum needs so it comes in handy in exam times will give it a 8/10. Hygiene of the college is something that I'd give 4/10 would appreciate more washroom hygiene.
Admission :
The cut-off for my course was not much I achieved 53.17% in computer science from a different college and still got admission to BMS in my current college. Application forms were available offline as well as online. The fees for the admission form were a separate 500 which was outrageous and other colleges did not charge that much for an admission form. Overall admission experience I'd give it a 6/10. A lot of people were there and it was rushed. One thing that could be appreciated is a seating arrangement for people who are there to take admission or inquire about the same. The exams are conducted 6 times over the course of 3 years. Each semester has internal exams and external exams separately. Difficulty of the exams I would rate it 6/10. Timings are 2.5 hours for external and 1 hour for internal exams.
Faculty :
Teachers are friendly and co-operative and have a warm approach while teaching and good student teacher relationships. Some teachers are rude but that's what you can find in every college. Faculty to student ratio is also great. Makes it easier to concentrate. Teachers are approachable and are well versed with the curriculum. New teachers/professors are also friendly but can teach better by being more friendly.
