Remarks :
Eligibility of the course is above 70 percent in class 12th and a competitive exam called GUJCET in that u have to score around 70 percentile . To fill admission form you can visit the official website of silver oak college of engineering there u can fill the form . Areas of improving in the admission process I would say it would be more transparency while providing seats . Like there should be proper entrance test .
Course Curriculum Overview :
So basically I opted for Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence course which is hot topic in current scenario , which influenced me to opt for this course. Curriculum prepare us practically tactics to solve the problem in real time like they got the experts faculties for this particular course. Areas of improvement I would say , curriculum should provide more time to talk with this faculties as we have a limited time to attend their lectures. The exams are quite tough but it is understandable and it happens after 4 months of course when it is 75 percentage is completed. It is quite enough time to prepare.
Internships Opportunities :
In this course there is internship after every semester for 15-20 days . Name summer internship and winter interaction. Company called softvan offers us this internship to teach us the real world scenario that is held outside world . There is no stipend for that internship as it is basically for knowledge. In that internship we learned about cloud computing using AWS and computer vision project like face detection, image classification and all.
Placement Experience :
The placement in our college I would say is average. After semester 6th students are eligible for campus placement. The names of the companies that visited are Tata, Byjus, IBM , Finolex, hcl , MRF, etc. The highest package offered is around 12 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are 75 percent. My plans depend on the placement of the college it is as my required then I will opt for the job , if not then I would go for higher studies .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Okay so, the fees for our course is 78000 per year. Including all the Tution fees and service fee but we have to pay extra 2500 per semester for exams form as it is compulsory to pay. There is no increasing in fees , it remains the same till you graduate. About scholarships there is ample opportunity to avail them, no memory of the name of the scholarship but the amount would be around 25000 k - 40000 k. There is role in our campus employment like showing the campus to the new batch, telecommunication, and subordinates of the teachers
Campus Life :
Our college held different types of events every month, like there was an event named Kalpvruksh where there was a competition of non-technical and technical events. Then there was Aavishkar where we have to showcase our ideas, which were technical events. The range and accessibility I would say is easy because you can find any books related to your problem in the library. Every year there is a sports event organized for whole college in different fields like cricket, football, badminton, swimming, volleyball, etc. It's quite exciting. There are a lot of students who run social groups like ieee, and red hack and all it basically helps them to grow as a adult with knowledge of real-world problems.
Faculty :
Faculty are well educated but the amount of respect they have for students is very minimal , like they just want you to the work as per their constraints. But there are some faculties with we can interact and it help us overall with our academics.
