Course Curriculum Overview :
Our course curriculum is in sync with the critical thought making it more interesting than mundane. It encompasses various theories, catering to various fields of human research that makes it inter-discplinary in nature. The applicaiton based approach of the curriculum makes it more relevant to research as it can be applied in the critical analysis of real world problems.
Internships Opportunities :
Junior research scholarship by UGC NET is one of the most prestigious scholarship for aspiring researchers. Within research, it is beneficial to publish papers with fellow research scholars or your research supervisors. Internship opportunities are thin in terms of research but there can be collaborative research projects among scholars.
Placement Experience :
The ideal employability plan after research is to appear for interviews in colleges as assistant professor that shall begin the researchers academic career in capacity of an educator. It is most beneficial to target a permanent job over a contractual one.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fee is nominal around 3000rs. However, students can apply for various scholarships, such as the junior research scholarship by UGC, etc. There are various organisations interested in funding student research projects.
Campus Life :
The campus life of our college is dynamic in nature. The infrastructure of the college is quite research friendly as scholars have a separate research room with computers installed to facilitate their research. There is also easy access to research supervisors and the library is comprehensively packed with online as well as offline research sources.
Admission :
Candidates who are UGC NET qualified are eligible for this research progam. However, if a candidate has cleared the Panjab University entrace exam for Ph.D, is also eligible for the same. The application from is available on the website of the college. One is required to attach a research proposal that shall be considered at the time of the interview.
Faculty :
In our batch there are six research scholars, pursuing research in different fields within english literature. The faculty-to-student ratio is two is to six, which makes the learning expereince more personalized, inviting diverstity in opinions and interactive sessions. Our professors, Dr. Neha Soi and Dr. Jasmine Anand are two versatile professionals, who are not only wonderful teachers but are also great research experts. Dr. Anand taught us research methodology. Her unique teaching style was characterised by a balance between theorteical knowledge and practical know how of research, which is imperative in enriching our research acumen. The concepts taught by both professors, were aptly substantiated by useful examples that simplfied the argument and made it easy to understand. Their pedagogy style promoted application based knowlege, to make us analyse literature more critically.
