  • If we are late for even 1 minute to class they cuts over 1 weeks attendance which i really dislike.and few teachers does not teach well they just reads ppt and goes daily but most of them are good teachers though>

Course Curriculum Overview :

As mine course was neuroscience .till now i never regretted choosing ns because its a nice course and the syllabus also even if its not easy as long as we put our effort and study it'll become easy .exams are on semester basis and in each semester 2 internal exams will be there so of we study well on 2 internals semester becomes way too easy and i choosed this course because i was interested .in neuroscience we mainly studies about brain spinal cord and all by the end of this course we will be able to do EEG ,EMG,nerve conduction study and many more things....in first year we have 1 department class and remaing subjects are common for all courses like anatomy physiology micobiology pathology.the one thing that i doesnt like is that they conduct anatomy physio as well as micro pathology exams as 1 paper on 1 day out of 50 so we have to study both anatomy physiology full inorder to write this 50 mark exam in which each maximum score is 25

Internships Opportunities :

I didnt finish my internship yet but we have normal and affiliated seats and i took normal so i will do my internship at yenepoya medical college we can also opt for externship abroad and for affiliated students they will do their internship at different hospitals with which yenepoya is tied up for clinical training and internship we can choose among those hospitals in our hometown post postings and for internship we have to be in manglore itself

Placement Experience :

About placement i dont have an idea . But my plans after getting this degree is to become a professor or work as a neurotechnician . I took integrated neuroscience .so by 5 years i can complete both my bachelors and masters and when graduating i will get my msc certificate also which is a 1 year savior its one of the main reason i came to yenepoya this options is not available in most the colleges .so after graduating either i will work as a neurotechnician or as a proffesor lecturer

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For our paramedical courses Tuition fees increases yearly. for us it was 45000rs per semester we have to pay our fees on semester basis . So one year fees will be 90000 rupees and in all semester our fees will be 45000 itself it wont increase but for coming batches their fees will increase. In total we have 8 semester so total tuition for my course was 360000 rupees . They provides 25% fees concession for students who has scored 90% and above in their PCB (physics, chemistry and biology) in their 12th standard and the fees will be reduced from your 2nd ,4th sem and all .I think my course is kind of affordable compared with other courses like CVT , respiratory therapy and all because their fees is too much.and the hostel fees is 85000 for 1st year and it increases per year

Campus Life :

Our libraries provied a wide range of books .we have well maintained and neat libraries with Ac.in 1st year we had one programe called 'udaan' it was such as amazing and joyfull programme which was conducted by us 1st years itself and then we had one food fest 'Daawat' it was also a good programme while the money got from those stalls were given to charity for the poor people in hostpitals who cant afford the hospital consultation fees and all and they got around some lakhs as a result which was a very good deed and now on may 28 to june 1st we are going to have a grand cultural festival which will last for 4 days including 1 day annual day .we had indoor sports recently .there are 4 house groups among students and competitions are based on this group and our outdoor sports will be conducted by this month . Our classrooms have large 3 big TV screens including 6 AC and many fans and light facilities are good too its very neat and well maintained

Admission :

We have to get atleast 65% to be eligible for admission and i booked my seat through an agent which was trustful and after 2 months when we got a mail from yenepoya for admission we went there and they conducted a small test based on our 12th subjects and one of faculty was also there she asked me why i choose this course and some course related questions. The thing that i didnt like was they were first asking us to pay fees even before filling the form and submiting our documents or like i felt like if money was their priority i reserved my seat beforehand to get normal seat which is limited .we can also book seat by directly coming to college its much better and safe because many people lost their money because of fraud agents

Faculty :

Most of the faculties of our allied health sciences are well educated and skilled .most importantly they are kind and supportive . my department class faculty was such a kind and friendly person she treats everyone equally and help us as much as she could do. We are lucky to have her but not all faculties are like that some are very rude and doesnt teach properly but ours was good!! Our faculty is very interactive with us so it makes a goof impact on our learning experience she proviedes us with simple and easy ppts which make it easier for us and even in exams she provides us important questions which is a relief and other subject faculties are also okay okay..biochemistry faculty was very unfriendly she is biased with her department students but her teaching is not that bad . When i 1st came to college i was very depressed as separated from parents but our mam comforted me and she even told my parents "dont worry i will take care of her" hearing this while i was nervous its a relif

Interview Experience :

They just asked few basic questions related to my course such as about neurons and brain and conducted a small test which is based on our 12th standard syllabus and some general questions i didnt prepare much for it though

Course Curriculum Overview:

Not much curriculum are done here. College is huge but extra curriculum are very less down here. We don't have fest, we don't have much functions. They don't take us for trip. But the college ambiance is too good

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since it is an autonomous College there's no affiliation to any other college and their curriculum is quite good. Starting from the basic to complex understanding level. This course mostly is based for studying purpose rather than work ready. There's test every week to test yourself.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell, where you can get the details on the meeting and the companies that would come to place students. You can be in placement cells, you will get all the details. If you do well, it's definite that yoh will be placed. I am not aware of the offers but Goldman Sachs had visited recently. Highest package was 15LPA and Lowest was 5LPA. Around 60% get placed here. My plan is to do masters in my interested subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The University has many options for the BSc Life Sciences course. I chose Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Chemistry. Such flexible options aren't available that frequently anywhere else in Karnataka. I was also allowed to check out the campus, labs, and classrooms, and also interact with a few professors before my admission. There is an additional option of choosing elective subjects in the final year too. The choice of subjects is broad, ranging from maths, physics, multimedia applications, immunology, recombinant DNA technology, and many more. Students maintaining 80% throughout can also choose to do a dissertation instead of one subject. The faculty for biosciences is one of the best I have come across. They are extremely friendly and indulging and always encourage you to participate in extracurricular activities as well. The exams were conducted at the end of each semester, around May-June for odd semesters and Oct-Nov for even semesters. They aren't that difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I was interested in statistics and I wanted to study further and get job in this field. The faculty to students ratio was 1:10 the teachers cared about students alot, they gave many futuristic ideas for students. Lectures had qualifications of PHD and masters in the subject. The exams were conducted in 1-2 months which were of medium-high level.

In 6th semester students become eligible for campus selection. Companies like Wipro, Cipla, Ashoka, etc. For getting placement student should be the rank holder or he must have got university blue.
