Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course to built a strong base upon my career which is Marine biology. I think the educational system has to be change and try to include practicals more than just material types because it is really a interesting area who have interest on. Presently we are studying about different types of oraganism and animal kingdom. The more we study the more we gain interest on that. We will built a concern about our nature. The exam are conducted by colleges are sometimes easy as well as tough. Exams have plenty of time to write even if we don't have much to write. Although I suggest to add more practical or field study rather than book material. And teachers should also have to change their mode of teaching.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Bsc. Zoology is a basic degree. It is not a professional one. Therefore campus placement is less comparing to other courses. Internships are not provided by the college but they provide us the resources like research centers, fields etc. I really don't know much about the placement ideas.

Campus Life :

This college is actually conducting less non educational programmmes than any other colleges which starts to hate the college. Since I joined in this college I got freshers and a union day. Students obviously don't like educational programs. There is a wibe library who loves to read. Classrooms are medium sized and have smart TV and fans. Fans are less which is not bearing the heat. There is a gym for students and the college ground is situated near Kaloor JLN stadium. There are so many clubs like nature club and have NCC and NSS which is a big advantage. Many sudents secured their career by joining on these communities. NCC have naval, army and air wings which is a great advantage.

Admission :

The admission process was simple according to me. I applied on the college website. After few days they released the list of students who are eligible. I don't have that much index but some students missed the process therefore I got the admission. Eligibility for the course is 60% of mark in higher secondary education. We can find the application forms, application fees, important dates and details on the official website of St. Alberts's college. College provides reservation benefits for minority students. The admission process was smooth comparing to other colleges. The website works really well on admissions.

Faculty :

Teachers and faculty members are somehow friendly. The keep mentoring us on each and every semester. Like others do they also helps in our studies. But the strategy to study is like a school type. Being a teenager we attain the ability to think we're they are still treating like a child. Not everyone. There are exceptions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If we talk about curriculum, it is pretty much good. It includes things that should be brought in front of students and that help to improve the student's basic knowledge of these topics. From this year onwards the usual 3 year degree has changed and now it is four years with an honors degree.
