M.Com DU Review

Dislikes

  • Placement opportunities and syllabus should be more practical and industry oriented

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is well designed and meets the present requirements as well as compared to other universities. It will get even more better one NEP2020 gets implemented fully. The only drawback I felt was although the syllabus is updated but still it is more focused on theoretical side of things

Placement Experience :

Placements are provided . Deloitte USI hires M.com graduates for auditing and tax roles with a package of 6L p.a. Other companies also participates but are not worth joining. Overall it is decent if you see the ROI.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee varies from college to college. Every college has it's own policy regarding fee structure. Scholarship is available for the reserved category students. Placements are also decent. The avg package was around 3 lakhs.

Campus Life :

There were many societies which you can be part of by going through the selection procedure. Every society has its own selection criteria. Fests are also conducting every year. Infra is amazing best in the country. All major colleges of DU are in North campus and are all in close proximity.

Admission :

To be eligible for the course one need to have a B.com degree. Selection is based on CUET PG entrance exam conducted by nta. The wholes admission process was smooth and easy. Everything is online till you get seat allotment. Post that you have to visit alloted college for admission confirmation.

Placement Experience:

IGNOU has the facility to provide internship and final placements not like as school of open learning. The companies that are coming in the campus for hiring are decent and average and provide enough package to the students.

Remarks:

Whatever i felt is that the college atmosphere during classes was good and the faculties are helpful and the college management helped us during needs as i can say this because i lost some of study material which was arranged by the staff at nominal cost. so overall the college experience was quite nice.

Remarks:

Management is very centralised, and least bothered for the overall development. Though major steps have been taken for students involvement, still there is a long way to go, when management starts focussing on the overall development process.
