Dislikes

  • The in-time for coming back to campus is 8 PM while it is 8:30 for entry into hostel. This seems stifling at times.
  • Batch size becomes too much and is significant at the time of placements as there are limited job opportunities in comparison to the number of students

Course Curriculum Overview :

Being from first year, I haven't experienced my course first hand yet. However, attractive elements of my course included: Good placement record of previous students (12 LPA) Multitude of opportunities in future Interest inclined towards creating online business Course does a good job to train the students for industry requirements as it is supposedly dynamic and changing to industry's needs Exams take place 4 times a semester General pattern is 45-50 marks covered through 15+30 or 15+35 mark exam scheme till mid semester. Remainder is covered later.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Tuition fees remains similar throughout the course. Total cost for computer engineering runs around 2.79 lakh per semester including all costs (tuition+hostel+mess+development fees etc.) Scholarships are awarded to people with minimum of aggregate of 8.5+ CGPA in the previous semester which goes upto covering all costs of students excluding hostel and mess fees. I have not yet undertaken any campus employment opportunities

Campus Life :

There are mainly two festivals held in a year: Thapar Food Festival and Saturnalia They're both held in the months of October - November The range of books and journals adequately and overly covers the subjects taught in class. It also has plenty of leisure reading books. Classrooms are well equipped with latest technologies with good audio and visual controls. The rooms are temperature regulated. There are almost all sports available on campus: lawn tennis, table tennis, cricket, football, hockey, chess. I'm an avid chess player myself, having represented the college. There are many societies and clubs on campus, which are both technical and non technical. The number is near 100.

Hostel Facilities :

There are ACs available according to the fees charged. Meal quality is upto the mark and menu is dynamic according to the needs of the students. Registration is simple and is done at the time of admission online. Affordability is an issue as the hostel fees ranges from 35k to 52k for first year students. The mess fees is 24k which is on the higher side. I have not rented a room or PG.

Admission :

Eligibility: Appeared in JEE Mains 2023 (conducted bi-annually) Aggregate 60% in PCM aggregate Application form available online, discoverable through online advertisements Cleared cutoff for Computer Engineering through JEE Mains score Cleared 60% aggregate criterion for eligibility

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is good and differs in every course, the highest placement record is 45.5lpa which is going to be increased the number if companies visiting is also increasing which increases the number of placements and the average package is 8lpa. If I can't get a on campus placement then I will try for off campus placement. Students of final year of their course will be eligible for the placements if they fulfill the company putted criterias. As college promised the 100% placement but it is not right only some students were getting placed who have some extra skills and knowledge Various companies visited the college every year like Autodesk, Cisco, XPERI, Toki, Accenture, Edoofa, delta x, RT camp etc and provides a good number of placements

Placement Experience:

so every year different companies visit our campus and people from the fourth year are able to see for the placement. Firstly, we have to clear a written entrance test once clear that the company will interview them and get the job so the highest package last year went 25,00,00 per annum. However, the average package is six lakh per annum. It completely depends upon your CGPA and your personal skills, how much you groom yourself to be fit for that company. Tech and non-tech companies both visit.

Placement Experience:

If we have skills, we get placements here, and if we work hard, we can get up to 50 LPA. Most of the renowned companies will come for placements, for example, Microsoft, Google, etc. TCS will give a high number of job offers, but the package is low. It all depends on you and your skills. The placement percentage in Computer Science is about 80-90%, and the average is 7 LPA.

Placement Experience:

There were many companies like Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Google, Wal-Mart and more than 800+ companies visited for campus placements. I will prefer for startup if I will not get the desirable placements offers.

Placement Experience:

CT University has best placement record till now. They have 400+ recruitment partners. Companies like byjus, paytm, infosys, max healthcare and capgemini have already recruited students from CT University. CTU also have corporate resource centre in ct university , to provide ample opportunities for full time internships, on job trainings and placement in reputed companies. Also, students are doing internships with stipends within the university also as CTU ambassadors along wwith theirt study, so this should be a good enough proof of the quality of the skills being imparted to the students.

The placements are good. A lot of companies like PayTm, Maruti Suzuki, etc come every year and recruit a large number of students. The placement process is of several rounds and tests. There is an Entrepreneur Cell that helps students enhance their skills.
