Enjoyment with little academics

Course Curriculum Overview :

I would give 20/100 for the curriculum of peri. To be honest I experienced zero practical learning only theory classes were taken. Not even one initiative was taken by the institution for any research. They made us concentrate only on academics. The decision of elective options was made by the management only. some stupid rules were implemented and will be withdrawn by the management after knowing about it.

Internships Opportunities :

The college will not provide any internships. Students should volunteer themselves for internships. Only thing college does is that giving permission (on duty) for students to attend internships.

Placement Experience :

Only small companies are conducting a campus interview. If you have a dream of getting placed in top companies then PERI is not the place Renault Nissan is the only major company to be the part of peri it campus interview. The average salary package was 10-12k.

College Events :

Only one symposium has been conducted since the first year of college. The cultural event is conducted every year.No technical events are conducted in the history of PERI. They were average in organising the events. Nothing more to tell since only fewer events were conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is positive. It was as per the Anna University norms. For me, it was 80k INR per annum. As I'm the first graduation from my generation. There was a compensation of 20k INR.So I am paying 60k per year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, There is the scholarship for some students based on their caste and family income. No loans were arranged by the management.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are good for an engineering college like PERI. Rooms were shared by four members. I have experienced several college foods while participating in Zonals, comparing those colleges PERI has good canteen and hostels. Hostel fee ranges from 30-45 per annum. Hostel students are allowed to play before their study hours.

Alumni/Alumna :

There is no proper platform for student-alumni interaction.

Faculty :

Faculties are good. They never said no for our doubts. Very interactive and had the good rapport with the students. I will give 8/10 for their standard of teaching.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
