Course Curriculum Overview :

Lnmitt is famous for its coding culture and in some way this is one. Course is relatively much better then the old curriculum other govt colleges offer(like we don't have chemistry in any of our semester). There is much emphasis on the coding part like we have our DSA course in our 2nd semester. Relative to other colleges the toughness of paper is high like i give my PPS(c programing) end term paper to my friend which is in SRM chennai , he didn't able to solve any of the medium one's. There are quizzes (no of quizzes are according to the course), one mid term and one end term exam per semester.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes college provide intership opportunities as well as placement . Samsung, amd,BNY mellon etc companies visit the campus for placement as well intership with stipend. As compared to last year placement are down.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I am the one which is from middle class family and according to me the college is expensive. Total fee of 4 year btech course is around 24lakh hostel plus tution fee. There is some advantages as the college have good reputation. Like for educational loan there is some low interest for students of lnmiit as compared to other college students.

Campus Life :

On my honest opinion the life at lnmiit is good not the best. We have all the facilities we needed (shopping area is very bad) like ground, gym, open air theatre, library etc. There are around 10 plus club for the overall development of the student. We have 3 main fest in our college which are viva city ( cultural event) Plinth (tech fest) and despotivos(sports fest) which are great according to me ( not plinth )

Hostel Facilities :

In 1st semester we are given bh-1 double seating rooms ( rooms are according to 2 people but lack of boys hostels they put 3 students in double seating rooms). But now new hostels have been developed so we are living in double sharing. Some hostels have ducts /vents , some of them have AC. There is no extra cost for any of the hostels its just base on luck that we get a hostel which have AC or not. According to me mess food is below average.

Admission :

I am in CCE branch and get it by my jee percentile at 95.78.I got this branch in the 3rd round. Lnmiit only take admission on the basis of merit there is no such thing like reservation, donation etc. Our counselling run around 1 month. For student to take admission in lnmiit he/she have to fill form on the website of lnmiit (2k) and after the seat was alloted we have to submit hostel and mess fee along with tution fee in advance which was around 266000 at my time of admission. This all is only applicable for Btech students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Food is a vast subject and people will not stop eating, so the scope of food technology is just amazing. The college has its own faculty for different subjects. This btech course is of 4 years ie 8 semesters. Each semester has midterms and final semester exams. Last semester is for an internship. Midterms are of 20 marks, practical of 30 marks and final semester theory exams of 50 marks, so passing the exam is damn easy. Regular classes with good faculties make this course easy.

There are a lot of companies in our college very much are tech companies but there are branch specific companies also. The placement department is working very hard for each person's good placement. There are 70-80% chances that you will get placed conditionally if you have the right skills and knowledge required there.

A good type of companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc offer internships two together off-campus and on-school grounds where there exist many assistant roles ready for use to enhance our ability and get ready for future placements. We also disturb do a variety of projects to embellish our skills. Out of it, 60-70% of students get placed. My plan after getting a degree is to start up my own startup. College also supports new startup plans.

Placement Experience:

Our campuses placement scenario has been positive with a 100% placement rate. Around 2 months before the placement session, the placement cell of our college contact recruiters after which through the job announcement form, all the companies provide our necessary data. Most importantly, everyone needs to know that the placement session occurs twice a year i.e. between January to April and August to November. Above all, the highest package offered in the previous year was 45 LPA and that as an average package 7-8 L was witnessed. Also, since our college offers summer internships.
