  • No propper infrastructure available, less faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have always wanted to be a doctor. Saving people and having that respect equal to a god means a lot. We have AETCOM classes, for developing communication skills with patients, knowing about the doctor patient relationship, going for clinical exposures in the hospitals, etc. Improvements can be the infrastructure of our college. Installation of air conditioning and more projectors would be better. We are in our first year and had appeared for PCTs and few tests. The course is definitely pretty difficult. Learning and understanding the topics are more important that having to by heart things.

Internships Opportunities :

We have internships as doctors after our 4th professional year. With a stipend of 15900 per month. Besides, those 4 years we're pennyless. All these four years before internship we perform clinical practices , perform seminars and visit families for family adoption programme in PSM.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our college fee for every year is 50000 rupees. There ain't any hikes on fees right now . Besides this fee we also have hostel fee of 3500 per year and 2600 rupees per month as mess fees. Financial aid is available but only for students with reservation. Not for us middle class students from general category. This is what I find as wrong. Even I needed financial aid or scholarships but couldn't avail it due to my category. As I already mentioned I'm in first year of the course so there's not any employment. We'll enter internship once we clear our fourth professional year and receive a degree. The stipend then would be about 15900 rupees. As of now we just have clinical exposures once a week.

Campus Life :

There is no college fests held in our college till now. The books availability in the Library is pretty decent. I do issue books now and then. There are approximately 21000 books available. This college lacks infrastructure as already told. Till now there is no sports activities held too. May be next year. No such clubs or students portals made right now.

Hostel Facilities :

Room is pretty spacious with 2 students in one room. But there is no availability of almirah in the room. There are racks on both sides. 3 time meals Available, average taste I must say. Registration process was filling forms and filling affidavits. Fees is 3500 per year. No it's not a pg.. college have own hostels.

Admission :

For entering into any government medical College, we have to appear for NEET exam. Eligibility for this exam is being 12th pass plus age of 17 and above. Before appearing the exam we filled all the details in an application form that was given on the site of institute conducting the exam. The fees that was asked to submit was 1600 rupees and the security money of 5000. The application form filling starts about 3 months prior to the exam. I didn't avail any reservation benefits because I belonged to general category. NEET exam had 180 questions with 4 marks each and -1 on the wrong answers... giving a total marks of 720. The time for appearing the was 3 hours and 20 mins. The difficulty level of my exam was moderate. Coming onto the admission process, it went on for approx 2 days. The most important improvement should be the time management for admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The responsibility ,honour and duty of this profession influenced me to choose this Course. Curriculum shows us the real side of the world as we survive this field and met patients and their families. Areas of improvement is just the availability of modern and advance tools devices and teaching methods should be more modern as per today's requirment. Frequency of exams are very high and very difficult requirs very high time for preparation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspect that influenced me is the externals and clinicals that made by decision to take this course because more than theory is the postings and clinicals which are neccessary to become a good doctor and also helps you to gain confidence. This is not just a curriculum but is a priority academics that prepares a student to save ones life which is far more important than just learning or reading. And yes it prepares us very well through clinicals and postings in addition to theory lectures or exams. As per my view, improvements in posting durations is very important than theory durations due to the priority. And yes teaching methods may get improve if some more fresh cadavers may get introduced in college every year. Exam are held in two phases, 3 terminals and 1 final. 3 terminals are held whole year with 3 to 4 months gap and finals at the end of the semester which is the final exam. Terminals exams are easy and quick whereas finals are tough and time consuming.

In this college the course mbbs curriculum is well oriented scheduled and well implemented as programmed Teaches so well that enables me to apply in the real world but you must make your efforts in your studies only depending on college classes would not to enough. The MBBS course duration is 4.5 years which accounts for 4 academic years each academic year ends with a university exam in which you must score 50% to pass and be promoted to the next academic session the exam is quite difficult. During the academic session college itself takes 2 internals and one pre-university exam which prepare students for the university exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field are moderate to high yielding in terms of income and are also noble professions. It is also a job of high responsibility as your decisions directly alter the lives of other people. This adds to the thrill of being a doctor which is a plus. Examinations are very distressing and tiresome taking days to finish. But it's all worth it, at the end of the day.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course of MBBS is tough and needs rigorous hardwork. The study hours in college is long which extends almost upto 8 hrs per day. Teaching methods needs to be improved . It can be improvised by simplifying the topics by giving appropriate examples rather than simply reading the slides of the ppt.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course because I wanted to be a doctor. The faculty-student ratio is good here and enough for all the students to get a proper education. But the space and lab facilities are a bit less as compared to the strength of the students. Faculties are highly qualified in the field and their teaching methods are also good. They use modern technologies to show images and slides using different presentations to teach in an excellent manner. We have 2 terminal exams and then a Pre-University exam filtered by a University(final) exam each year. Exams are quite tough as the syllabus is vast and we have to mug up a lot of information, which makes it very hard.
