Course Curriculum Overview :

Great learning if one aspires to be a business leader. It's one of the most prestigious business schools in India with extremely good faculty especially in Finance and economics domain. It offers one of the best cultures across the top business schools in the country.

Class Size : 480Course Fees : INR 2250000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

I worked at Adani Group for the internship in the finance domain. Most of the companies for the 56th batch offered internship with stipend above one lac per month. The domains include consulting, finance, product, general management etc.

Placement Experience :

In terms of placements, it is one of the best business schools in India. Companies ranges from consulting domain, operations, product, finance and general management. Hundred percent of the batch gets placed every year.

Fees and Financial Aid :

Course fees have gone higher and continuously increasing in the last few years. Although very easy educational loans are available at the minimum possible rates. Even though fees is high, the good placements offer a great ROI. For the financially weaker sections, there is provision of NBFA.

Campus Life :

Carpe Diem is the annual fest of IIM Calcutta. Apart from it, there are different clubs working in different domain most of which aligns to the academics and placements such as consulting club, operations club, Analytics club etc.

Hostel Facilities :

There are 4 different hostels at IIM Calcutta for MBA students. Some are old and some are new. Facilities at newer hostels are better. MBA is residential program so everyone is allotted a hostel and a single room. Hostel which one receive is based on random allotment.

Hostel Fee : INR 100000 per year

Admission :

Entry through CAT exam. I have taken CAT 2018 to secure the admission here. Application to IIMs is directly submitted through CAT exam which is held annually. Each IIM has its own admission criteria mentioned on their website, which includes different weightages to CAT exam, 10th, 12th, graduation scores, workex, WAT-PI etc.

Placement Experience:

We were a post COVID batch. So placement was quite slow. Our placements started from 3rd semester itself but salaries weren't good as the COVID effect was still there. But still we received placement assistance even after our classes got over and that's how I got my placement. It was more than 90% in my batch and I worked for 2 years after getting placed.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible from the fourth trimester after internship.The companies which visit are ICICI Bank,Gartner, Droom.The total number of offers made are 157 for the past academic year.The highest package offered was 21 lac per annum and the profiles offered are mostly of management trainee.Percentages of students getting placements are 90 .My plan after getting the degree is delving into corporate sector.

Placement Experience:

From the 4th or 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the placements. One the highest package offered this year is of 40 lakhs by Fiitjee. BFSI sectors companies used to visit the campus very much. ICICI use to recruit the highest number of students. Highest package of thia year is 15 lakhs ctc per annum by Havells and average is of 11 lakhs per annum CTC. Getting in the one of the best company is my dream with the best corporate environment.

Entrance Preview:

I appeared for CAT and scored 70 percentile. I selected IISWBM since it is the oldest B School in India and hence a part of India's Heritage. It is considered and rated as one of the best B School in our country. The fees is also Affordable.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the last year was excellent with students getting placed in prestigious firms. Companies like TCS, NSE, IMRB, FMCG Companies like Dabur, Financial companies like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Insurance sectors like ICICI Prudencial etc came last year for placement.
