Remarks :

The college authority is very good according to me.They always try to help us taking proper education. They always try to bring new teachers for our proper education . They also organize various seminars for helping us.

Entrance Preview :

I scored good rank inWBJEE & took admission in this college. The good infrastructure & emninent faculty encouraged me taking admission in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The department of civil engineering is very famous in our college due to its emninent faculty. All respective faculties are very helpful & our HOD sir is a Ph.d holder from shibpur university.

Internships Opportunities :

I took my internship from a famous company L & T infotech. Our college helped me a lot taking intership from that company. I learned autocad from that company.

Placement Experience :

Many companies came in our college like TCS, L&T, tech mahindra etc. About 40 % students were placed last year from our civil department. L&T gave a package of 4 lac per annum last year.

College Events :

College organizes tech fest every year. 90 % students participate in it & win many prizes. At the last day of tech first a cultural programme is held every year to entertain us. We enjoy a lot during this time. At winter sports event is also held. All students enjoy a lot during sports events.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The half fee scholarship is available in our college for minor castes & also for poor brilliant students. Our college helps a lot in financial to the poor students.

Campus Life :

Politics is banned in our college. Workshops are really very good. Ragging is totally banned in our college campus. Therfore college campus is very healthy. There is a cheap canteen in our college campus & also a big play ground. The relationship between teacher & student is very admirable in our college.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are very large & clean. Hostel area is wifi zone. The food quality is also very good. Our college fees are almost 24000 per quarter including semester & hostel fees. We have two separate hostels for boys & girls.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

The college seniors are very helpful. They are like big brother to us. They help us a lot in education. We love him a lot. They also encourage us in taking participations in seminars, workshops etc.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
