Remarks :

An excellent place to live as it is in the lap of nature with a land area of about 780 acres of which over 80% is greenery covered. Also a world class institution with great opportunities and facilities.

Entrance Preview :

I got admission in BIT Mesra after clearing JEE Mains exam. With a score of 131, I got admission in Chemical Engineering. I opted for this college because it's a place I knew would make me a skillful and talented person.

Course Curriculum Overview :

BIT provides it students with enough opportunities to do research work. It provides a large number of opportunities for students to perform in works related to their specific branch. World-class laboratories with latest technology machines add to the development of students.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, it does provide a lot of internships. I haven't experienced it yet because I've just completed my first year but as my seniors had told, students here get internships in companies like Google, Microsoft, DRDO, etc.

College Events :

The first fest of an academic year is the Tech fest PANTHEON. Speakers from all over the globe connect with the students and other than that, the fun activities for 3 straight days. Then occurs the sports fest VAJRA. Students get an opportunity to participate in various sports and games and are given winners trophies as well. The biggest fest of BIT Mesra is it's cultural fest BITOTSAV. 4 days of fun which witness the presence of some of the biggest singers of the country.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure is also quite reasonable. The fees for the complete first year (1st and 2nd sem including hostel, mess, tuition fee, exam fee, etc) is around 2.6 lakhs which is much less than other institutions. Also, the BIT buses run for about 7 times a day from the campus to the main city which is free for students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The Scholarship is given to SC, ST and OBC students if they score over 8 CGPA in a particular year ( Average of first two semesters)

Hostel Facilities :

The hostels are well maintained and the students are given the food 4 times a day with good food on all seven days of the week. In 1st year, 2 students have to share a room but from the 2nd year onwards, they are allotted separate rooms (for boys only). Girls have to share their rooms for all the years.

Alumni/Alumna :

The seniors are very helpful and they become familiar with the juniors as we don't need to call them mam/sir like any other colleges.

Exam Structure :

The exams are a bit tougher than most of the colleges (except IITs). Coming to the labs, some of them are very interesting like that of programming labs while some of the boring labs include that of the mechanical lab. But the college timetable is well balanced and provides enough time for extracurricular activities.

Admission :

I participated in the online counselling process of JOSA. I filled many colleges as my priorities but got BIT as it was my 2nd preference after NIT Warangal. Then the admission process was just as similar as it is in other renowned institutions of India. (Long queues.. documentations.. fee payments.. etc etc.

Faculty :

Professors here are well educated and most of them had done PhD. Other than the professors, the lab staff and ground staff are also efficient. The professors are very helpful and clear the doubts of the students personally if asked. Also we can call them for some doubts. They even tell the important topics for exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.
