Remarks :

Bad : Fess is hefty and placements are not up to the mark. Good : Cooperative staff and qualified faculty.

Entrance Preview :

I took PMT (pre-medical test). Scored around 60% and passed for counseling. I opted for this college because it was near my hometown.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It's up to the mark very thorough and covers almost all the topics related to dental study and materials. Plus it helps in gaining knowledge about human physiology and pharmacology as well. Clinical experience is not up to mark though but it gives a detailed idea.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, my college provides internship with a monthly stipend of Rs 800/- per month. The internship is quite interesting.

Placement Experience :

Well placed. Students can open their own clinic after passing out.. or they can get placed in the college itself as faculty. However, it depends on student to student. Some become good clinicians, some find a good job by themselves, some become good teachers and some become good mentors.

College Events :

Annual day function, where one can participate in play/skit/debate/dance/music/fashion show etc. Thereafter, the prize distribution ceremony and dance and dinner take place. Sports meet, where one can play football, cricket, sac race, high jump, long jump, throw ball, painting etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Expensive. (1 lakh per annum) It's not affordable by some as well as affordable by some. It depends upon the choice you make. Either pass out as a dental surgeon or save the money and put it elsewhere.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As such not aware of, seat quota is there for some students in the college according to college own rules and regulations.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio M/ F: 30/70. Boys are few with respect to girls. And the studious students are very high. The campus life is competitive and full of challenges. Extracurricular activities include sports day celebration, skit, fashion show, music, dance, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are 3 students sharing one room. Bathrooms are also sharing basis. Warm water facility in winters available. No Wi-Fi or air-conditioned rooms, but have coolers in summer. Separate mess for boys and girls. Fees around 60,000 rs per year including mess.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, the nearby students are always willing to help hostilities in case of need. They are well aware about the present job scenario.

Exam Structure :

Hectic during exam times and chilled out in the regular study. Exams are full of stress due to clinical work as well as non-clinical study, plus viva, case study etc. All the practical need to be submitted on time and there are semesters also going before exam times.

Admission :

After clearing PMT entrance test, there was a counselling at mullana medical college, ambala, haryana. I waited for one day there for my rank to come and I chose SRCDSR, Faridabad out of 2 colleges... 1. Gurugram and 2.Faridabad. After allotment of seat, we went for Faridabad counselling session. There we submitted all the documents to secure my seat.

Faculty :

Highly educated and qualified faculty. Always ready to help students in both clinical, non-clinical and placement options. Well versed in. Clinical and nonclinical education system. Highly eminent staff and well helping in exam time also so that each student clears the exam.

I chose the course because I did not get selected for M.B.B.S. Initially I was not happy with this course but with time i found my happiness in the course. The course curriculum was pretty simple. There are 4 subjects in first-year anatomy, dental anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology. There are total 3 exams for the first year one common for biochemistry and physio and 2 others in 2nd year the main subjects are pathology microbiology pharma and dental materials but there are practical papers for 2 subjects of the final year are operative dentistry and prosthodontics they take 3 theory exams and 2 practical exams practical exams are for pre-clinical work of prostho and operative 3 subjects in 3rd year and 8 subjects in final year faculty members are okay some are good some are not they don't focus on sports activities.

After completion of every chapter, there is a test and after completion of the full term, there is the final exam which is conducted by the university. Based on the performance in the class test internal marks are given which is very useful in the final exam marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you ask me honestly, I didn't choose BDS to begin with, BDS chose me because Mbbs was not available at my marks. But, never the less, it's a different course and I get to be a doctor. On average, there are 3 teachers in each department for a class of 100 students. The teachers are quite achievers here I must say, they have published a good number of research papers in both national and international journals. All of them have a different yet very practical teaching method. Learning is always fun here. There are final term exams at the end of every year. The course is of 4 years plus 1 year of internship. The exam level is good and one needs to study for a decent amount of time to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I didn't get MBBS and I also didn't want to drop out for one another year. So I chose this. I don't know much about ratios. But I can u can very easily contact every faculty of the college and they are ready to help. Faculties are usually postgraduates who have done their ships and also many other degrees from abroad. Exams are usually in 1 year but yeah as it is a professional degree these are difficult to clear. But if u study genuinely u can pass easily.
