Remarks :
The college is best in the teaching faculty but the bad in their part is very poor laboratories. The number of laboratories are very less and are insufficient to the students to gain practical knowledge. The learning is very difficult without the practicals. The overall experience is pleasant and good.
Entrance Preview :
There is no entrance exam to get admission into the college. The students who got above eight percent in their intermediate are eligible to apply for the admission. Later based on the merit and reservations seats are allotted to the students in the desired branch. There is no interview like process that was followed.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course I have chosen was very good as I am interested in learning about the food sciences. This branch does not focus on practical learning. But the theoretical learning is very easy for an average student also. There are many research initiatives taken by the college but I personally do not know much about them.
Internships Opportunities :
The college does not provide any internship opportunity. The students who are interested can go on their own to any company for the internship. The college management sends a reference letter to the company representing their student from the college. The average stipend is between eight thousand and ten thousand rupees .
Placement Experience :
The placement scenario is good. we are eligible for the Jobs like Food Microbiologist, food safety auditors , food processing technologists. Very few companies visited the campus for jobs. Mostly the students personally go for the interviews individually and get into the jobs in various sea food processing industries.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is very affordable as it is a government college. The fee structure is around ten thousand to fifteen thousand rupees per annum for food sciences. It may be less than fifteen thousand for some groups. Hostel facility is available but the fee ranges are really very low. As i am a day scholar I will go on foot to the college.
Faculty :
Faculty are very well qualified and have experience of minimum ten years. They are very friendly with students. But the teachers are not available to the students all the time. They clear the doubts only when they come to our class to deliver a lecture. The standards of teaching are moderate so that every student can easily understand the subject.
