My time this college is only 6 years old but currently this college is matured enough and strong.

Course Curriculum Overview :

First Year- Common for all stream,Maths, Chem, Physics, Engineering Drawing, Basic Electrical and Lab.2nd Year-C Language, Data structure, Mechanics3rd year- Power system, control sys, Numerical, Electrical Machine, Lab4th Year-Financial Management, Environment Engineering, Project.

Internships Opportunities :

College not arrange for all student , they have arranged some of them and the max student will be arranged by own and in general not offered any Stipend during Internship.

Placement Experience :

I have given a average mark during my time, Quality job is less offered. Only some software company will come for placement, core company is very less.

College Events :

Annual cultural Fest is celebrate every year, During our period CORONA the fest name to be arranged and also arranged some Technical Quiz , Sports event.

Ultimate Masti we never forget the college life if i recommended not to stay outside stay in college campus and enjoy every moment because it will help in future during professional life.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is Average My time 1 Room Sharing by 4 Person it is really very difficult but we can manage it

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Recently our college arranged Alumni meet 2015, i think it will help the present student because every student whom to be passout in this college trying some company to be arranged for placement.

Exam Structure :

8 Semester , yearly two times December and April, This is 1 Month full of hectic time but i personally enjoy this moment after completion of Examination we really chilled out and enjoy whole night before going home.

Faculty :

Nice Faculty Members for Electrical Engineering, All are M.Tech. Holder and Some of them Ph.D. They have given a Good Lecture in college session and given details note it will help in preparation for Examination.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
