Jitu's Review On Don Bosco Institute Of Management Studies & Computer Application - [DBIMSCA], Bangalore

Remarks :

Better change the management the college will automatically change. At the beginning of the college life, I was very much excited but my excitement turned into boring college life because of lack of everything from the college side a student should expect in his/her college life.

Entrance Preview :

There were no such examination was taken.I took direct admission by paying the fees.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is very much outdated one. No such real-time projects are there for the students. No research initiative were taken by the college. The college can improve it's present scenario if the management goes in a good hand.

Internships Opportunities :

No they don't provide. They basically thinks that giving the knowledge from the book is enough for the studies to the students so they don't organise any such events and not even they so any interest in that things.

Placement Experience :

There is no placement scenario in the college. Bacially the problem lies in the infrastructure, the rating of the faculties, the facilities provided by the college and so on but I feel really bad to say that this doesn't have even the minimum required facilities availability for the students. Then, how can we expect companies like wipro, infosis will even look towards this college.

College Events :

After 3 years a technical and management fest were organized by the college. We can say it was a big enough because approximately 25 colleges took part in that and the event budget 50% were provided by the college and the rest was given by the sponsor. The students were doing all the work and the lectures were not helping them on that they were even scolding them that you should focus on the studies not on these things it's a waste of time. They were not giving the attendance also for those were working hard for the fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

It is affordable. For Non karnataka students the fees is 50000 per year and for karnataka students the fees is 45000per year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes college provides scholarship for the economically weak students. No I didn't. No college doesn't provide such facility.

Campus Life :

In terms of extracurricular I will give 2 star out of ten. No,we don't get any opportunities. Very bad facility.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes the college is having good facility of PG for boys and girls separately with wifi enabled. And the quality of food is not so good actually sometimes it comes down to average level in reality.

Alumni/Alumna :

No they don't provide.

Exam Structure :

Yes frankly speaking it makes us feel tired sometimes now and then.

Faculty :

Most of the faculties have done MCA or M.tech. And some of them are very experienced lectures. Yes they are very much interactive in classes.

Internships usually start from the final year, in my case the 3rd year. Most of the students get placements but it's not the best but not bad either. My plan after the UG is to get as many certification courses

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good has it covers almost all present trending languages but the only issue was we didn't have python in our syllabus which is on trend hence it was quite disappointing and other than that every single subject or topic thought in BCA is very helpful and useful for placement only thing is we hav to focus properly and practice more coding. The only difficulty related to exam was there was short period for studying back to back exams were there no time to read properly lab exams will be conducted after that 3-4 days final exam will be commenced which was bit stressful and no proper previous question paper from University side which was very difficult to study.

Placement Experience:

From 5th-semester placement opportunities starts , but they will start the training from 4th semester itseems. We will be having companies like Wipro, ICICI Bank, basically most of the IT sector companies. I think almost 75% to 90% use to get placed in campus placement. Rest they might be trying for higher studies. I myself planning to do my master's in the same college because that much I love my college

Admission:

I love coding that's why I choose bca.and there is very good placement in gardencity University. On the basis of interview i got the admission. I have the interview on 22 March and I got admission on 1 July. Admission process is so easy. Anyone can pass the admission procedure if you have passion.

Placement Experience:

So, with all of that being said, the placement process (or employee placement process or job placement process) is the process by which a recruiter helps a client fill one of its open positions through the successful matching of the job's requirements to what a potential candidate offers in the form of skills.
