COMEDK, rank 9472, I visited few colleges in Bangalore and as per my campus visit experience and talking to the staff and alumni. I felt Vemana is best for my Mechanical Engineering dream. They have good tie-ups with central government R&D labs and a good number of Alumni working in this field. Which helped me to get campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview :

During the start of every semester, we used to get the entire curriculum as a booklet from the college and at the same time faculty used to refer us to the various real-world working research labs and industries.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, College was tied-up with various research and development lands of various contractors of Central government labs. That help in getting an internship in an easy way.

Placement Experience :

Job placement rate was very good. for our batch, it was 92%. Vemana Institute of technology College was tied-up with various research and development lands of various contractors of Central government labs. That help in getting a job during our campus placements. Vemana Institute of Technology has consistently ranked # 6 engineering college in Bangalore in terms of Placements, Quality of education and Lab infrastructure.

College Events :

vemanostav is the biggest event celebrated ay Vemana Institute of Technology. Apart from this, there are regular research paper submission and discussion events along with industrial field visits. All most all of Major South and North Indian festivals are celebrated on campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure on average compared other Engineering colleges on Bangalore is on the lower side. Also, Vemana offers free admissions for few underprivileged students on financial and merit basis. which is one of the best social activity I have seen at the campus.

Campus Life :

Very good college. Commendable in upholding student values and education quality. Need more infrastructure.. improvement seen in the development of various department structures. Quality teachers. 60 % south Indians from Karnataka, Andhra and Tamil Nadu and 40% from South India.

Hostel Facilities :

The institution is well maintained. However, the construction work near the main gate inside the college is an eyesore. The campus has plenty of space and very cool and shady by plenty of trees. Hostel food is average, I stayed only during my 1 year and later shifted with friends.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Vemana is best for my Mechanical Engineering dream. They have good tie-ups with central government R&D labs and a good number of Alumni working in this field. Which helped me to get campus placement.

Admission :

I called the number provided and spoke to Ms. Asha the admissions coordinator and she helped me with the application filing and throughout the admission procedure. She also allowed speaking to few alumni and faculty, which helped me in making my decision to choose Vemana Institute of Technology as my first preference.

Faculty :

faculty used to refer us to the various real-world working research labs and industries. Some of our curriculum is framed to gain a lot of practical knowledge. The faculty is well experienced and were very helpful during my education at Vemana. They were helpful in conducting hands-on labs for good working knowledge of the concepts.

An honest review

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.

Well it was a emerging glorious institution, so I chose it. Also it has good facilities with good experience of atleast 10 years in the field of education. The infrastructure of my university is excellent. It has all the facilities needed for the overall development of a student. Although it us situated little of the city, it is totally worth the travel.
