An honest review about XIME-Kochi.

Dislikes

  • Rules that are put only on girls and the same thing is ignored for the boys. If safety is point of view it can also be put in many different ways but they don't realise that.
  • Mess food. North Indian people it is a little tough to adjust. Non-vegetarian food is good vegetarian people will have to adjust at times.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this college because of the excellent ROI it provides you. You pay 11 lakhs and you get them back in 2 years. XIME KOCHI is actually a placement cell. You can say it's 1 faculty for 8 students. The faculty is qualified to the highes levels. PHDs and also have like 20 years of industry experience. Many of them are doing different projects aswell while teaching. The teaching method followed is what the students want. If students feel case studies work better that is opted. Optimum Field visits are given, discussion are done. Term exams are 2 times per term. 3 months is 1 term. If you study it's not difficult.

Internships Opportunities :

Internships provided here are good. HR intern, finance intern, sales, market analysis, etc are the roles offered. Stipend will range from 35 k as highest and unpaid aswell. You can work on live projects and internship in Kochi itself before getting placed in the summer internship programme.

Placement Experience :

4th semester is when your placement starts. Manu companies like Accenture, Infosys, Hilton, etc visit campus. Highest package is 16 average is 10.3 lakhs. 100% students are placed. Join the company work there and start own business

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees is minimal to what the quality they provide or the placement they provide. You have financial support but that is again based on your academic achievements. But it's not alot. You get internships with stipends but that goes into rent and stuff. There is minimal fees hike every year. But it still is beneficial comparatively.

Campus Life :

Quest is the annual fest that happens in college and different club events happen frequently. HR, Operations, Marketing and Sales, Finance, etc have there own events every week. Library has relevant books that you need. Classroom are equipped with board, projector, acs,. Xavier Sports League is the sports event that we organise. Different festivals are celebrated and competitions are organised. Hruday, Finitiative, Markxime, SIP, XSEED, MadX.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is good. Warden is strict but that's how it works here. Rules you will have there is in time for hostel. Mess is okayish. Hostel is compulsory so no different registration process it comes when you do your admission.

Admission :

The admission process in this college was very smooth. There was no cutoff considered for my batch for any MBA entrance exam of year 2022. Application form can be found on the college website they also have a rigorous mailing system so if you mail you will receive it at the earliest. There is no reservation provided in the college. They award you scholarships on the academic performance but no reservation in specific. The admission process is smooth. They respond to mails and calls if you have any. The payment methods are also very smooth.

Interview Experience :

GD and interview were the qualification rounds apart from the entrance exam given. Current affairs topic was used in GD. We were divided in groups for GD and then further were put in the interview panel where faculties and dean were present. Reading the newspapers was my preparation for these rounds.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester, students are eligible for campus placements. The companies include federal bank ICICI Bank, Turn B, DHL, Reliance, Kellogg's, and Kimji Ramdas. The highest package was done by Kimji Ramdas for around 21 lakhs per annum. Around 90% of students are placed. My plan is to get placed after the completion of the course.

Placement Experience:

The students start their placement process once they are in 4th term as they will have their mock interviews starting. In the 5th term, companies started to visit the campus. Since the placement is for all three campuses of XIME students need to go to Bangalore to give their interviews. Companies like Soc Gen, EY, Oracle, and KPMG come to campus offering good salaries. The highest placement for 2022 was 15.4 lakhs and the average was 10.2 lakhs. this year even tho there is a recession going on the institute is bringing in good companies for placement with the highest placement being 14.2 lakhs and the average is around 9.4 lakhs with 40 percent of the batch being placed. For me, I will definitely try to get a placement that has a record of 100 percent placement. If not then I will do my further studies abroad.

Placement Experience:

After 3rd semester students are eligible for campus placements and to seek jobs outside. Some of the companies visiting our college are 90+ tuition apps, BOSS motors, Electro mech enterprise etc. There are many job fairs also been conducted in our college. The placement percentage is low but some of the students get placed in great companies with good packages above 5-6L per annum. My plan is to attend campus placement in 3rd sem and get placed.

To get admission in this institution in MBA program, the student should be a graduate with atleast 50 percent in any discipline. They will have to giveeither of the entrance exams CAT/CMAT/KMAT. Based on the score and interview, they student will be called for the admission.

Placement Experience:

The college has a Placement Cell which ensures 100 %placement of the students. The cell helps and guides student throughout the placement process. There are also training programs to enrich students. Firms like wipro, Toyota, federal bank etc recruit the students.
