Course Curriculum Overview :

I have chosen the computer science and engineering department as it holds the demand for upcoming technologies. It has a variety of options to offer from a placement and job point of view. The faculty is average. They are qualified but still, if you want to get good marks you have to give more time to self-study.

Class Size : 120Course Fees : INR 450000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course rate is increasing in today's date. During the time the admission, I submitted initially around Rs. 78000 as admission fees including the first semester fees. The total fee for a four-year course is Rs. 4 lacs 50,000.

Campus Life :

The main disadvantage of college is the short campus. The campus area is very less and the location is also on a highway. During the late hours, it becomes very difficult to go back home as the buses don't come and it's very crowded generally. There have been fest earlier and also have extra curricular activities for the kids.

Admission :

I am Almaz Akhtar, Currently an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Technology from the Bengal Institute of Technology. I have given Wbjee (west Bengal joint entrance examination) and achieved a decent rank, in order to take admitted to the above-mentioned private college.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
