Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course as I am interested in the medical field and a Bachelor's of Physiotherapy is 4.5 years professional course by which a person can become a physiotherapist doctor. It has good scope in India as well as in abroad. At NIMS University the student-faculty ratio is very bad as we have 350+ students in our class and faculties are limited. Although faculties are well qualified and they are very supportive, they always make sure that students understand the concepts. Their teaching method is mostly PPT and practical based, which gives us a good understanding of 3D structures and real images of body parts. Exams are conducted semester-wise, they seem to be moderate level if a student has studied and has attended regular classes. The passing ratio is low because of some management issues to earning money, but yes if you write well in exams, you'll get appropriate marks.
Internships Opportunities :
As per the senior batches, an internship is compulsory to be done from NIMS hospital which gives unpaid internship offers. The roles offered in the internship is to assist senior physiotherapist, diagnose the issues and prescribe treatment for them.
Placement Experience :
In Physiotherapy the placement is based on your skills, knowledge, and network and therefore from 3rd year we have to go on clinical postings to enhance our skills and after completion of 4.5 years we have a placement offer either from NIMS hospital or nearby hospitals. In our college, 30% of students are placed in NIMS hospitals and others are placed in hospitals in Jaipur like Eva Hospital. The highest package after BPT could be 3.6 LPA if you have really good skills and a network. And the average package is around 2.2 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is no official fee hike policies written anywhere but yess they can increase fees whenever they want. General hike is around 15k-20k. Merit based scholarship is provided to students who have secured 75% or above marks in class 12th boards, the scholarship ranges from 50% to 100% scholarship depending on the marks. After completion of 4 years, we have to do upaid internship here at NIMS hospital only. And if a student get palced at NIMS hospital then he/she would get paid salary for the job.
Campus Life :
Annual sports competition SPARDHA is celebrated every year from February to March and also there are various fests and events being organized by the university throughout the year. The campus has 3 libraries the main central library has a great collection of books and has a huge reading hall along with computer and wifi facilities for students. Classrooms are well-equipped with smartboards, projectors, mics, and speakers. It feels like a mini auditorium. There are various sports activities that can be performed on campus like Cricket, Football, Badminton, volleyball, Tennis, and Table tennis along with a swimming pool and well-equipped gym. There are few social groups for events, games, and religious gatherings. They are mostly run by students.
