Remarks :
It's been great experience so far till the end of the first semester. I have had an overall experience as I have been part of almost all the events and activities in our college and it's been a great learning experience being the Class Representative and part of the Student Council as well.
Entrance Preview :
I had applied for the exams like CAT, XAT, SNAP. I had scored decent marks in all. The reason I opted for this college is that it has a good record of placements and a really experienced visiting faculty.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It has a great course curriculum which focuses on the current trends. There are not much of case studies in the first year but this is compensated in the Second year.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, our college has dedicated team for the summer projects for all the students. This team is responsible for providing internships to all the students while keeping their interests and preferences in mind. Coming from the HR background, most of the companies are with no stipend mostly. But that's not a concern for us as the companies coming in for internships are like ICICI, Colgate, Bajaj Finserve and many others to count for.
Placement Experience :
For the placements, the college has a dedicated team of Corporate Relations Team that ensures the best of opportunities are facilitated to all the eligible students for placements. This year, the average package has been about 6-6.6 lakhs till now. More tan 52% of the students are already placed by now in our college.
College Events :
Our college starts with a 2-months Induction program which no other college provides to the students. In these 2 months, the students are segregated into about 15 different rivers and within the first month if this river time, the students are exposed to their first ever Cultural event called the Aiyaswamy which is a 2-day event where all the 15 rivers compete for a prize money of 1.5 Lakhs and a trip to Goa. There are also many other events like the Fresher's party, HR Meets, Drishti (inter-collegiate fest) which are all managed and coordinated by students itself.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure for BIMHRD is about 8 Lakhs for the 2 year program. It's is quite feasible considering the kind of ROI we get in this college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I haven't availed it, so can't comment on it. There are some loan options available that the college does facilitate.
Campus Life :
Our college has a 50% reservation of seats for women. There are students joining the college from all the major cities of India coming from different backgrounds of studies, work , etc. The college celebrates and participates equally in all the festivals of the country with all love and decor. Regarding the workshops, the college emphasizes on the Corporate Interface Program through which there are ample number of Corporates invited to conduct various workshops and seminars for the students.
Hostel Facilities :
There is hostel facility available only for first year students, which is optional and not compulsory. The hostel facility available for about 500 students in the premises with 50% each for boys and girls. Hence it has limited number of seats available in the hostel and it is advisable to apply as soon as possible post the admission procedure is done as it's allocated on the first come first serve basis. Each room is shared by 3 students and every room is well equipped with enough space and not congested. The hostel premises has a Basketball court, Volleyball court and a completely equipped Gym, with a swimming facility in it, and has a mere monthly charge of Rs.250 only. The hostel also has a laundry facility accessible for all the students. Total number of mess available in the campus - 3, Food quality- Very good, Prices- reasonable, ranging from about Rs.1200 for a month(per meal) to Rs. 3600 for a month (2 meals) depending on your choice of preference. There's also a general store available for everyone in the campus.
Alumni/Alumna :
Our college has a network of more than 14000 alumni spread across the world working with best of the companies at great positions. The alumni network is very active in regards with their association and involvement in college.
Exam Structure :
Balaji is known for it's 365 days policy. This leaves us with endless number of exams and a very hectic schedule throughout. The college makes sure that the students are prepared for any test at any point of time. The schedule gets more hectic with the ample number of extra-curricular activities that keep taking place throughout. I n all, it keeps us completely engaged with some activity or the other.
Admission :
I applied for my college via online through the college website. Later I was shortlisted for a GD/PI process in Pune which is one of the options for the GD/PI process held across various major cities of India. The selection process had an Essay writing followed by a Group Discussion round and a thorough personal interview round.
Faculty :
The best part about of our college is the Visiting faculty who are well experienced in their respective fields for lot of years. The interactions with the visiting faculty has been really enriching for us with the best of insights to the college world.
