Best College for BSc course.

Remarks :

I and most of the students of the college love everything about the college, the only thing most of us would like to see improved would be the canteen

Entrance Preview :

There is no entrance test for this course. You just need to have passed HSC or any other equivalent course from Mumbai University or any other University.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum followed by the college is the one prescribed by Mumbai University as the college is affiliated to that University. The course is straight forward and clear. 3 years for a degree course. Each year has 2 semester. Each subject has units and each unit may or may not have multiple chapters.

Internships Opportunities :

I am not aware of any internship given by college for my course but every year a chess institute comes to recruit for internship. They make you teach other children from schools and give you stipend asking with travel expenses.

Placement Experience :

For my course yes there are placements available, exact detail cannot be shared but yes companies do come and recruit based on your performance so far and how you do in the interview. After completing the course you are then selected. Only third year students are allowed to be interviewed. Navy also comes for recruitment.

College Events :

Apart from the regular fresher's event and other events of different departments, three main events are celebrated in the college. Tarkash - intra college event where different departments compete against each other. Taarangan - inter college event where different colleges compete against each other. Trishna - is the annual festival of the college held in the Thakur stadium behind the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The few structure is more towards the expensive side. But that's because the college is unaided. The college does not get aid from the government. The college runs on the fees of the students. But the faculty and facilities available to you along with the infrastructure, I would say it's value for money. Your money isn't wasted.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I am not aware of any scholarship. But I am sure there must be available scholarship for certain students. The college library does loan you the textbook if you are economically backwards which you have to return by the end of the year.

Campus Life :

There's no discrimination between ethnicities or race, everyone mixes up early with others. There no ragging too. We have an anti raging council also that helps the students. The ratio of boys and girls is equal but it all depends on the nature of course you have taken.

Hostel Facilities :

We don't have hostels, but we do have a canteen and it isnt worse but its not best also. Although its affordable the tast is somewhat okayish. Thats why most of the students go near the 2 stalls behind the canteen area where they sell tea, coffee, chocolate and sandwiches. We also have stree vendors and a McDonald's and Domino's near the college area.

Alumni/Alumna :

The fresher's event that happens allows the juniors to meet and greet acquainted with the seniors. The seniors and the allumni do stay in contact through various social media and are very helpful.

Exam Structure :

The exam structure is pretty straightforward. You have practicals examination and 2 semesters exam of 100 marks. There is enough gap between the exams that you don't feel hectic but sometimes long practical examination can make you tired. The semester exam is based on theory.

Admission :

I got admission in the college in the year 2015 when it was all offline, you go to the college with your documents and demand draft of the fee amount and take admission. Now it's all online, you scan and upload the documents and pay the fee online and go to college for document verification.

Faculty :

The faculty (teaching as well as non teaching) are competent enough for this course. The teachers have a better understanding of the subject and the non teaching staff (lab assistants) also know what they are doing. The teachers are extremely good and help you to understand the subject properly. The teaching is fun filled, it's not just regular boring teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Aspects like certificate language course and the proffesional communication skills are one of the highlights. The curriculum prepares you really well it just need the right faculty to be useful and be of better understanding for the students. There is an extra subject like minor or constitution and public policy which really is just a waste of time for studies. And more fun teaching methods can be adopted rather than always sticking to the textbook. frequency of the exams is one exam of 20 marks in the middle of the semester and one at the end of the semester for 60 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The teaching method is not so good and also not so bad. I think the papers should be quite easy for the students like me who had some back papers as because the subjects don't clear sometimes because of internals like 6 out of 10 so this need to be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very clear with my thoughts before taking admission in this course ...like i was thinking about to prepare for a govt competititve examinations but this course has no use in real life yes it is helpful if you are preparing for IIT(JAM) like exams so the structure of the syllabus of Bsc should be very connected to real life and also connect should govt exams

Placement Experience:

A placement cell is present. I am not sure about the placement rates for my course but many companies of high-end value are associated with our college which speaks volumes about the standards. I hope to get placed as an intern with a stipend but my main aim is to start with my master's after graduating

Placement Experience:

Placements opportunity comes in plenty options here every student get a chance to join their loved/known company's and nearly 90% are placed also in those companies. Very few students remain unplaced and other students have their own family businesses so they decide to do that further in their life. So, there is no tension of remaining unemployed here. Companies like Tata, Infosys, Wipro, L&T, Philips, Cognizant and more come here to recruit students at the completion of this 3 years course. This companies offers a average packages during recruitments and they were like 2 - 3.5 LPA. And the highest package which was offered by philips was 7 - 8 LPA. In my batch only 2 students get lucky to get placed in Philips Company. And other students were placed in average packages which was 3 - 4.5 LPA. My plan after getting the degree was to be placed in product based companies like tcs or cognizant. And I did my best to get a job in tcs and I got the job from college. My package was 4 - 5 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yes … I completed by Bsc in Mathematics from vartak college. I thought that exams gonna be super easy… but just reverse happened in all the semesters. Anyway I completed my graduation with 86%Marks… Unlike other universities, MU syllabus is too vast and their materials are of heavy standard. I Know many SERVICE aspirants got a huge collection of MU materials for their preparations.MU certificates got high value and they are good in designing a perfect curriculum. They provide results within a specified time period. And your mark list and certificates gonna reach your home on time…And I heard many comments like MU certificates are not valid for jobs. It is not like that. You can write Every government job exams, psu, bank job exams with MU degree certificate. But a few private firm accepts only regular degree just because of the fact that they need people who are good in working in a team ( that quality can be developed only through a regular college courses) .
