Entrance Preview :
EAMCET - is the entrance exam I wrote.i got 8000 rank and was selected via JNTU counselling. I got into college with a scholarship. There were 120 seats in IT. Mine was a high rank when compared to what was required to qualify for admission. JntuCounselling is the process to get into JNTU affiliated colleges
Course Curriculum Overview :
College follows the standard JNTU curriculum and is good enough to make one well versed in the filed of information technology. The curriculum is quite similar to computer science. Subjects are well distributed among the 8 semesters. The first year consists of all subjects from all the main streams engineering ( JNTU course)
Internships Opportunities :
The college doesn't provide any internship to students.but they have contacts from outside who can get students internship in some reputed firms
Placement Experience :
There are few companies who come for placements. Most of them were BPO during my time.now things are good. There are more companies coming. Students are advised to be well versed with aptitude exams to get through the initial rounds during the placement interviews in final year
College Events :
There are fests held every year. It held inside the campus. Well organised with dance and multiple skits. Some external guests are also invited to perform. It's nice fun event and can have nice time with our mates. There is enough place inside the campus to hold these events
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is in accordance with the Jawaharlal Nehru technological university. The fee is constant throughout the four year course. Fee increase happens for every batch. We also need to pay fee before every semester exam and also if we need to write any supplementary exmas
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is no scholarship which is provided by the college specifically. There are lot of scholarship provided outside the college domain based on caste and financial status
Campus Life :
The crowd is generally urbane. This has to do with the location of the college. There is gender ratio of 60 girls to 40 boys. The high female population has to do with proximity of the college to city. So the parents feel.safe to send there gals to college
Hostel Facilities :
you can have proper meals and quick snacks, all of which is invariably tasty. Apart from these there are many coffee shacks, and fast food joints, spread over the campus. So where you are, you always be able to spot a place to grab a quick bite. One of the canteens is the mess where you can pay on a daily basis or they can keep an account on your name and you must settle the bill at the end of every month. So you might expect spending around Rs.1500 a month on food.
Alumni/Alumna :
There were no experiences of ragging for me. The seniors were friendly to.approach. college being in the centre of city also helps
Exam Structure :
Semester wise exams are held.written exam of three hours.. these exams are conducted by Jawahar Lal Nehru technological university. We also have internal exams . 80 marks for the external exams and 20 for the internal . So a total of 100 mark for each subject
Faculty :
Faculty of the college are a mix of well experienced people and also youth. The labs are manned by young professionals ready to help students. The curriculum is quite similar to computer science. Subjects are well distributed among the 8 semesters. There are many lectures who have been there since more than a decade now
