Course Curriculum Overview :

Among various courses for UG, PG and Research Level, at UG there are two courses offered; B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.). If you have a commerce background in the intermediate examination and want to make a career in Corporate Sector, you can opt for B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) course. And, if you are inclined towards the judiciary, UPSC or any other competitive examination, you can opt for B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) program. A semester is usually 4 months including holidays. Two exams are conducted, i.e., Mid Semester and End Semester Exams in a semester of 15 Marks and 60 Marks respectively. Rest marks are 5 Marks for Attendance, and 20 for Project+ Presentation.

Internships Opportunities :

Students at CNLU go for internships at various firms, NGOs, research centres, advocates, judges, etc. The internship cell of the university is incompetent, to say the least, to provide internship opportunities to a maximum number of students.

Placement Experience :

Basically, CNLU is known as the judge's factory. Most of the students go for judicial services examinations or public service commission exams, and others sit for placement. Placement is not so good. If you anyhow get to PPO from a firm, please rely on that. Don't come to CNLU expecting a placement from here.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee includes tuition fees, electricity, mess fee, hostel fee, library charges, examination fees, etc. The annual fee is taken at once i.e., fees are collected annually and not semester-wise. Furthermore, every year, there is an increment in the same. However, there is no fixed rate at which it increases, but usually, it increases every year by 5K to 7K for all the batches.

Campus Life :

Campus life at CNLU is mixed. Various events, fests and sports activities are organised from time to time by the respective committees, centres and cells of the university. The important of those are - CNLU National Mediation Competition, Parliamentary Debate, CCI National Moot Court Competition, Sports Fests, Vidhika ( Legal Fest), etc.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is good. Hostel rooms are decent to live in. One can opt for single-seated rooms from 2nd year onwards strictly based on availability. Priority for a single room is given to the 5th year and likewise. However, local students are not allowed to the hostel in the inception. They can request the administration for the room, subject to the availability after allotment to outsiders, local students are allowed. Also, day scholars are charged with lunch in the hostel compulsorily. The hostel mess is good. Recently, a new mess contractor has been given a tender.

Admission :

The admission is done based on the CLAT Score. If you get an AIR rank of anything above 1800, you will be able to get admission to the General category. For OBC, one can get admission if their rank is above 4400, SC/ST, and one will be able to take admission if they score anything above 15000.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is too relevant and updated as per standards and the guidelines of BCI. Standard of studies are too good. The course prepares you well enough for real life lessons and jobs if you are attentive. The updates are done yearly in courses and curriculum by academic council of University. Exams are conducted on 6 months for all courses. On semester basis.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was influenced by many great legal shows and legal news, i have always wanted to be good lawyer who can work for people. It will be very helpful for me during my LL.M course and judiciary exam and can prepare me very well to achieve great success in future. The teachers need to be well selected on the basic of their actual knowledge and not just degree because the fee, we students pay, we deserve better faculty members. The exam for 1st and 2nd part usually last for 2 weeks and for senior batches it can take even a month. The difficulty level of exam is moderate, one can do well if he/she studies properly.

Placement Experience:

From 8 semesters students are eligible for campus placement. Company visited like Nestle, Vodafone etc. Top roles offered according to the capability, like excellent lawyer etc. The minimum percentage required for placement is 45%. The average package offered is 4 lPA.70% of students get 2 internships every year. My plan after getting the degree is to proceed with the judiciary.
