Remarks :

The first eligibility for admission was appearing for the Common Admission Test (CAT) exam in 2020. After the CAT exam, cutoffs were released in terms of a cumulative score which involved points for 10, 12, UG Marks, WOrk ex, and Academic diversity. After that PI was conducted and later final admits were raised taking gender diversity points into consideration.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum for 1st year comprises 3 terms with compulsory subjects which cover all domains of the Management course and provides the student experience of all domains. 2nd year is completely electives that offer students to take up subjects that would emphasize their understanding of a domain of their choice.

Class Size : 480Course Fees : INR 1250000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

IIM Calcutta hosts an internship program for the students in term 2 of the course where companies from all sectors visit campus and offer internship opportunities to the students. Based on students' performance, they may also receive PPO from companies.

Placement Experience :

IIM Calcutta boasts the highest Average CTC for a batch of 2020-2022 of 34.2 LPA. C.ompanies visit for 6 sectors- Consulting, Finance, Product Management, Marketing, Operations & General management. Refer to Placement reports for further details

Fees and Financial Aid :

The fee is paid for 6 terms separately with total fees as 25Lakhs which includes hostel fees as well and excludes mess fee. Need-based financial assistance and merit-based scholarships are available for students to avail as per the eligibility criteria

Campus Life :

Hostel Facilities :

IIM Calcutta is a residential campus and it is mandatory for everyone to stay in Hostels. There are 4 hostels, 2 boys (New Hostel & White Hostel) and 2 coeds (Lake View Hostel & Ramanujan Hostel). Additionally, a new hostel is under construction, which will be a centrally air-conditioned accommodation for the students.

Placement Experience:

We were a post COVID batch. So placement was quite slow. Our placements started from 3rd semester itself but salaries weren't good as the COVID effect was still there. But still we received placement assistance even after our classes got over and that's how I got my placement. It was more than 90% in my batch and I worked for 2 years after getting placed.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible from the fourth trimester after internship.The companies which visit are ICICI Bank,Gartner, Droom.The total number of offers made are 157 for the past academic year.The highest package offered was 21 lac per annum and the profiles offered are mostly of management trainee.Percentages of students getting placements are 90 .My plan after getting the degree is delving into corporate sector.

From the 4th or 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the placements. One the highest package offered this year is of 40 lakhs by Fiitjee. BFSI sectors companies used to visit the campus very much. ICICI use to recruit the highest number of students. Highest package of thia year is 15 lakhs ctc per annum by Havells and average is of 11 lakhs per annum CTC. Getting in the one of the best company is my dream with the best corporate environment.

Entrance Preview:

I appeared for CAT and scored 70 percentile. I selected IISWBM since it is the oldest B School in India and hence a part of India's Heritage. It is considered and rated as one of the best B School in our country. The fees is also Affordable.

Placement Experience:

Placements in the last year was excellent with students getting placed in prestigious firms. Companies like TCS, NSE, IMRB, FMCG Companies like Dabur, Financial companies like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Insurance sectors like ICICI Prudencial etc came last year for placement.
